just saw the ad that Northland VW has a bunch (over a dozen) new 2019 Rs on-sale for >$6k off msrp. Seems pretty decent. Why are they sitting on so many Rs!
Probably because they had them all priced at like 48-55K range the last while or so which is some pretty heavy markup. Combine that with what I would assume is insanely low sales in general the last 3 months and well now you get the discount/0% to dump off the 2019s that have probably been sitting on the lot for 6-12 months easy
They bought up as many R's as possible before the end of the run thinking they would be sitting on a gold mine and wouldn't budge on pricing so rather than sell cars they sat on the inventory and are not having to discount them. I don't understand dealer methodology at all as it seems like they are the only type of distributor in this day and age that doesn't understand how to properly balance sales and overhead costs.
VW is again having Mk8, software problems affecting its launch, and production.
So my ‘17 (7) R lease was almost up, and with the Mk8, a least 12, but likely (18-24?) months away, I grabbed a black 19 from 5th. They treated me well. I'll grab an 8, in ‘24.
Anyone ever compared a 7 to 7.5? Clutch feels heavier. Did they upgrade it?
My search skills are failing me, who was it around here that was a Cobb Dealer? Auto Obsessed? GTR Auto?
Was it Vex maybe?
Not sure if this applies to Canada, but tuners have been pulling out of the market because of EPA rulings. APR for example, doesn't sell Stage 2 tunes anymore for the MK7/Audi S3
@schocker is right about VEX being a Cobb dealer though. GTR Auto also sells AccessPort.
Hmm yeah not sure. Have a Cobb already, looking for an intake. Stuck between an IE and a CTS.

Whats up with that price? Are these going for a premium already? I saw it posted in a group and it has 16k claim on it.
(I paid less than that new)
Nobody is paying that, you can get a brand new golf r for $5k more
At first I thought that was new, then I saw it had 25K on it and a huge accident claim. Wow. With the full GTI overhaul right around the corner too, who would buy that? No DSG either. Also that might be the worst sales page I have ever seen haha.
Selling a 2016 Golf R Lapiz Blue 6 speed non tech for my parents. Dealer service history including Haldex service, PPF from new. Haldex coded to 50:50 torque split. No accidents or damage.
