no cylinders, no care
I don’t know, for all the hype, it doesn’t seem like they delivered. Compared to an S, it’s slower in a straight line, has a smaller battery pack, it’s heavier, has considerably less range, and its much more expensive. The interior is killer, but overall I was expecting much more from Porsche.
It’s exactly what I figured.
We’re talking domestic vs German here. People shouldn’t surprised.
The turbo S which competes with the P100D starts, STARTS, at 187,000USD.
$173.9k and $213.9k CAD starting prices. And here I thought Tesla Model S P100D was expensive optioned out to 200k last year (It's at 140k ish today).
I'm on the list, but yea the Turbo and Turbo S are too rich for my blood. Will have to see what the price looks like for the slower models (4S), but that's not due for another 2 years.
Was promised pricing between Cayenne and Panamera. I guess with the Cayenne Turbo starting at $141.8k and Panamera Turbo starting at $174.2k it's still technically the truth.
Porsche declared early on that the "Turbo" moniker had too much positive association to leave out of the Taycan nomenclature, so here we are - Turbo Taycans with no turbos or cylinders.
Swing and an absolute miss by Porsche here imo.
Yep, exactly. It's merely a name given to the top trim levels (along with "Turbo S").
I would also like to point out how disgusted I am by those wheels. White rims with black spokes?
Da fuq?
More like the Gaycan.
These are also the Turbo and Turbo S models so there will be cheaper Taycan and Taycan S models eventually. Those should be more palatable here even though the model S and X are actually super expensive if you want power and options.
Porsche really sucks these days. When the only good cars you build are limited production and impossible for the guy who doesn’t suck Porsche dick to buy, what are you offering? Porsche used to pride themselves in having their GT cars available for anyone who wanted one. They’ve just lost touch imo.
I think production on GT cars should increase, if there's anything to gather from this video with Andreas Preuninger:
