Apparently Neal is a really good leader in the room, and has taken alot of the rookies under his wing. Even if he isn't producing points I have heard he is still doing a lot of good stuff with the other players

It looks like quick was day dreaming about golfing last night, dear god was he bad.
does anyone know if James Neal is playoff guy?
I love how enthusiastic Prout is, and I know he's been brought in as a tough guy, but I really hope they start using him a little more sparsely in the playoffs because any of the goals the Sharks scored he was right there in front of the net making mistakes. I'm also a bit bummed Lazar didn't see more ice time in the regular season. I think the kid is a stud.
On a positive note, I am really pumped for Neal. I think he might finally be coming around and I can't wait to see him turn the jets on.
Prout is a good guy to have around as your 7th defenceman. He's exactly what you want if someone better gets hurt. But yeah, don't want him to dress for many games.
I thought Prout was like option 8 or 9?? He is on the 3rd line pairing with 4 healthy D scratches.
Well whatever number he is, he's a handy guy to have around in case of injury. Especially if playing "heavy" playoff opponents.
I think most teams serious at a run want to have 9 NHL ready d-men available. It's one of the reasons we lost in 04.
If we're playing a team like Colorado there is pretty much a 0% chance that Prout draws into the lineup.
If we're playing a bigger more tough team (like the Jets or Sharks) then he might draw into the odd game at home where Peters can control the matchup's. Even then I'd still bet he doesn't play unless there are multiple injuries.
I mean, let's dream for a second, and say we win the cup in a total of 20+ games, if he only plays in two or three of those, that's great! Having him available for those two or three is an asset. No team is so deep that they have 9 defense-men better than him for the playoffs.
It also allows you to use the extra d-men to give a guy a mini break if he got dinged up, rather than makign the problem worse.
Figured some would know on here, saddleroom worth eating at?
I picked up a couple seats for game 5 in the restaurant and was wondering if it’s actually worth getting a reservation for dinner?

Smith looks good. Neal is bringing that truculence. We have the best 4th line in the game. I like our chances.
Plus are tickets that expensive? I remember paying $630 for a club seat back in 07 when we played the Wings.
Face value for saddleroom were 390ea? Not cheap but should be a good time.
Anyone actually eaten there?
I've eaten there. It's been a while, but from what I remember there are 2 ways to eat there. Pre game reservation, and just enjoy seat ordering service through the game. Tough to get a reso because people book well in advance. Another option is that you can order food at the start of the game, and have a sit down dinner during intermission.
Call and confirm ASAP especially if you're looking at pre game dinner. It gets full FAST as you're fighting everyone, not just restaurant seats.
I had a code to purchase a set of tickets for Game 2 because I'm 4/3 and can't make anything else. This was before the code the fan letter released yesterday. I would say less than 100 seats were left as of Tuesday evening. The cheapest set of 2 was row 9-11 on the net ends and they were $396/each + fees.
200s row 1 were $696 IIRC and high 100s were starting at $659 for non club seats. I didn't bother checking club seats or anything after that.
So the prices have definitely been ballooned. And that is just round 1... if they go further expect them to be real bad.
