It's Calgary it's winter it's not -40. It's a fucking lovely day!
Agreed. I took offense to the previous "extreme weather" thread title. Calgary gets very little of that, but the thread had updates every day.
Should have named it the 2018 weather bitching thread, lol.
I am sure that this thread will just turn into a studded vs non studded debate.
It's slushy and gross out. How do people keep cars clean?
Ceramic coatings. Best thing I have ever done to my car. Run it through the CO-OP touchless and it looks like it has a fresh coat of wax on it every time. Nothing sticks to it and it's protected from salt/sap/bird poop, etc.
There is nothing you can do about the fine spray off people's tires though that slowly turns every car brown haha, this just makes it much, much, easier to clean off with minimal effort.
Anyone driven to Canmore this week - how are the roads?
Some companies like Gtechniq and CarPro have specific coatings for windows and windshields but I can tell you from my own experience with Gtechniq EXO. I had no issues with distortion from using a coating on any windows.
It will usually last for around 1 - 1.5 years on the side windows and a little less on the windshield.
Would Aquapel be good in these conditions? I've yet to try it.
