hot tip #1.... sell!
I disagree, the market is in a slump so that means "buy" ;)
Here is a really good stock to buy ;) ELK on the TSC
i'm waiting for it to go even lower cuz i have a feeling that this "economic down turn" will last longer.
I don't play the stocks anymore... got burnt by nortel already...
I haven't exactly cut my losses with Nortel... it's worth so little that it seems like I've lost so much. John Roth you owe me money! :madred:
I wouldn't worry about rushing in too soon, the markets are going nowhere but down for the foreseeable future. Until all the cheaters are shaken out, it will be scandal after scandal.
One of the saddest days I had was during the big tech boom. I bought 3000 shares of UBS at 1.99 it went up to $18 and I still didn't sell thinking they were going to follow in the footsteps of Wilan. I was thinking $40...man was I wrong :banghead:
Lets just say I never sold :banghead:
Greedy! haha j/kQuote:

You would have turned a nice profit:)
The only hot tip for now is pick a lemon and sell short.
Jump of the tallest building, making sure you won't survive. And live your ride for us.
4 years ago Nortel was at the top, $200/share and now $2!Quote:

my bro's a broker so if i wanna invest and make some $ i just send it to him hehe
Buying individual stocks is a losing proposition for 95%+ of people. The best advice I ever got was to invest in Index Funds. Some of the best ones is the S&P 500 Index funds, which track the stocks which Standard & Poor rated the 500 best companies in the United States.Quote:

If I were you, I'd wait a couple months for the bloodbath to end, because I think the markets in general have a ways more to slide. Real Estate is a much more conservative option right now.
