That's me and my three girlfriends. Perfection.
This should all be in the Duramax subforum.
Speaking of, apparently the 1500 duramax has its towing capacity increased by almost 4k lbs for 2022.
So a double or crew cab, short or standard box 4x4 can tow ~13k lbs.
That means a minimum of 1800lb payload capacity I think (10% tongue weight of 13k lbs plus 500lbs extra payload for two passengers and assorted items).
If anyone spots one on a lot, sure would like to see that payload sticker...
Bet payload is less than that. Lot of trucks can't handle the payload required to pull a trailer at the max rating.
Oh? Have any examples? I thought manufacturers got a lot better with their ratings when sae j2807 was adopted across the board.
I know in the mid 2010's it was pretty bad, but that also was because some had not agreed to follow sae standards.
Max payload for the baby dmax already was quite decent ~1750lbs without any max payload package. The max payload package on v8 trucks added an extra 300lb payload to the trucks, so its really not outside the realm of what the rest of the running gear is rated for.
Obviously take off a couple hundred pounds for options, but I think my GUESSTIMATES (hah) were in the ballpark.

2017 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Outdoorsman. Crew 6.5 box, 5.7, 4x4 sunroof, power slider, 17” LT tire option…
This is 22lbs lower payload than my 3 series…
No fat chicks sticker is a mandatory factory installation.

Got the payload sticker sent to my by the dealer. A little bummed out, was hoping to be 1600+, but she is still heavy, even without some of the heavier options, but we all knew she would be with the hybrid setup.
Word up. What's gvwr?

7350 lbs. She's thicc.
Only 300 more than mine for gvwr. Bet the highway ride is nice with that weight. I like.
Stole this pic from FTE, but this is a 2021 F150 Supercrew 4x4 302A options with same 7350 GVWR. 1625 lbs Payload.

@spikerS , I guess the Lariat package has some heavy options in it.
Yeah, I dunno what though to account for 200+ LBs difference, but... :dunno:
Teh fans in teh seats prolly brah.
