Anyone watching Unpacked?
Watched it. The specs are nice, nothing revolutionary, just evolutionary. I don't think I read anywhere about release dates though.
I've been waiting to upgrade my SGS (1), but now I think I'll pickup a Galaxy Nexus since those should be under $400 used now. Unless the SGS3 is being released in the next month, I'm not sure it's worth the wait.
Removable battery, faster processor, micro sd slot, should make it better than the One X however.
watching right now, seems cool
There is a review out already for more details.

I think it could be revolutionary. Lots of big promises.
Potential for wireless charging. Ability to duplicate screen onto your car head unit (this could be cool), or other things like boardroom presentations.
Software wise they've done some good things (or at least promised). I think it will be nice.
Wireless charging or inductive? Palm did that a couple years ago, about time someone else is doing it. I hate plugging in the cord.
Again if it was out in a few weeks I'd wait, I'll pickup a Nexus then use my upgrade credit in the summer I suppose.
pretty disappointed in the design to be honest.
Is this a phone or a tablet? 4.8" dam!
Telus going to carry this?
No carriers announced yet for Canada. My guess is Bell, then Telus and Rogers will get some LTE basterdized variant of it like the GS2.
Go to any Rogers Plus, they sell their used phones which are like new at 50% off so you can get a nexus for around 300 from the store if they have a used one in stock, some employees may say no they are not 50% off but tell them to scan the used phone in the till and it will automatically come up as 50% off if they use the used sku.Quote:

I like the phone, I may upgrade from my crackberry for it. Never used android before. I just wish that instead of putting a 'metal like finish' on the phone, Samsung would actually make the phone out of metal. The One-X is made out of unibody carbon something-er-other. That's freaking cool.
I don't like the "blue" color they have for it, judging by just the video though.
Doesn't seem like a huge upgrade but not bad either. Hate the design though. Samsung phones always look like sub-par iphones.
It doesnt look anything like an iphone.. other than its a rectangle and has a screen on the front.. oh, forgot apple has a patent on that...lol

Matter of taste really, I would take a Galaxy device over an iphone any day. But I hate Apple.. so no suprise. ;)
I'll probably pick it up when Rogers gets it hopefully by the end of the year
Official specs for Canadian carriers, out June 20th.

2gb ram wow
aww.... No Exynos quads.
Don't support LTE yet. Its ok the S4 is no slouch, it goes toe to toe with the tegra 3 quad core. Check the comparisons of the one x with the quad core tegra 3 vs the S4 versions in North America. Plus we get 2GB RAM. :thumbsup:Quote:
