Photography Event: Central Public Library Before Hours - APRIL 14 9AM - NOON

I'm currently working out the exact details for this but essentially we'd be allowed access to photograph the library before public hours, for ~2 hours. The focus will be on architecture and no models will be coming (except for me of course, lulz).

The booking has been made for APRIL 14 9AM - NOON. We would need 10 people and the cost would be $37/ea as the total cost is $350+GST for Not-For-Profit Organizations.

Following up with this, the coordinator has offered March 24th or 31st this month, or I imagine most Sundays in April as well. I specified that we are actually just a group of friends from Beyond.ca and he didn't seem fussed that we aren't officially an organization.

My schedule can accommodate March 24, April 14, 21, 28.

No tripods, eh? Dealbreaker for me. Strange they would make that a requirement of a before-hours event.

Tripods are definitely allowed during before-hours. One single tripod is only allowed during public hours.

Hilarious that "no drones" has to be mentioned... but I could see people using them haha

"Within eye-shot" is what he told me on the phone. I guess that they don't want us scattered throughout the library...though it begs the question what do they do during the day with the general public...but whateves.

Drone in the library woukd be awesome though.

One of my co-worker cant make it as he has to drive to Saskatchewan. Other one is still good for it.

More people are allowed to come but it's becoming obvious that the group should remain at 10 people to make paying more straightforward.

Anyone know how parking is around there on a sunday? I don't head into downtown often.

There should be plenty of street parking located at 8 Ave and 4 St SE. You could attempt to park at the clusterfuck "traffic circle" that is 7 Ave and 5 St SE but wouldn't advise.

There is also paid parking if needed right by the entrance.

There are 2 big parking lots 1 block East of the library right beside each other - one CPA if you want to pay (Daily max $2.00 on Sunday), and one Indigo lot if you don't want to pay. Every time I'm in the area I park there without any issues as the street is the first to fill up if it's busy for whatever reason (music center is right there too). I've never seen the lots full but YMMV.

There's also cheap heated underground CPA parking 2 blocks away (the buildings immediately South of CharBar).
