2017 Calgary municipal election
Am creating this thread so as to not muddy up the 2017 mayoral election thread with stuff that's not necessarily unique to just the mayor's position.
So to start off, I just read a news article about Farrell being sued for $200,000 plus an order that she be removed from her position. Interesting timing land could be quite damning to her campaign. Link to CBC news article.

I do hope that lawsuit helps drag druh down, I'm still stuck in her boundary by a block and a half

I have to say, dirty politics aside, a 10 story building at that corner kinda sucks when everything immediately around it is 2-3 stories high.
Wonder if they need to adhere to the waterfall type design that DT is adhered to.

Waterfall is to prevent shadows on the river/parkway, shouldn't be relevant to Kensington.
So long as those nasty apartment buildings a block up the road are allowed I don't see why a nice new 10 story building in a trendy urban area is a stretch by any means...
I thought council wanted to promote a high density urban lifestyle?

That ain't half bad looking. I'm pretty sure 17th Ave S.W will welcome that and will fit better.
