****why not cruise to the 8pm Wednesday night chinook meet?***********************
that is **usually** where beyonders meet Wednesdays
yes, you are right, I made a correction from the original post.
Should cruise somewhere for some wings...provided that people are over 18. We did that one time, many, many moons ago and it was pretty good!
Only thing is, it's a school night and I have a shit load of papers to grade still!!!:banghead: Damn final exams!!:thumbsdow
im down. if a lot of people are going though. .haha.. ill show up with my civic this time. haha.. for sure i'll come check it out this wednesday.
I'm always down for a cruise after a hard day of work
I'll be at the meet for sure. still need to pick up my mini helicopter
Make it at Chinook, I think I'll be there anyways for a auto-x volunteer meeting.
Classic Jacks on Wednesday. Very good.Quote:

mmmmmm wings...
I'm so down if that's the case
Cruise to Kilkennys in Brentwood for 1cent ribs :D
Gotta go somewhere with ample parking I reckon! Although Jack's is the shit with some sweet as eye candy, parking would be a logistical nightmare!
I guess we can decide tomorrow if anyone is keen to go for wings, either way, I'll probably head somewhere! ;):poosie:
I'll probably show up around 8:30, gotta drop someone off at the airport around 8. Hopefully you guys won't have left by then cause I am down for wings!
Nova's back up, so I'll probably drop by - Upper deck at Chinook, yeah?
Gotta love the *** included in all these meet threads lol.
This meet / cruise may coincides with the secret street stuff. I've never Auto X my car before but I'd like to find out more about Secret Street - even volunteer. Hopefully this coincide cruise will churn up some volunteers for secret street.
Personally, I've never been to SS before. From what other people have been saying, it's a real reward to give oneself a chance to be involved in an officiated competition.
I'm in for the meet and cruise.
May drop by if I can get my new rotors on in time.
just want to confirm, 8 pm chinook 2nd level parking lot right?
The regular beyond meets at 7, think the meeting may be starting at 8, not sure.
ok. see you guys tomorrow. bringing my civic with me this time. haha
Ok work, hurry up so i can get out of here and get to the car shows
Ummm .. I'm confused .. So 7 ? Or 8 ? And where is this cruise taking place .. Nobody has mentioned the route
Think we'll just be meeting at chinook around that time and go from there.

I won't make it to the meet. Getting A/C installed in the house. Can't wait for a hot summer  but I'm going down with some Beyonders to Classic Jacks at 10pm so maybe see some of you guys down there.Quote:

Renee you have my # so call me if you make it. LUDELVR you can come only if you get a separate bill haha jk :D
The cruise will happen at 8, the regular Beyond meet is happening at 7 along with the auto-x volunteer meeting.Quote:

why so early... beyond meet starts at usually 7.45 - 8
bump
its drift practice tonight...

So where do you guys meet up at chinook?
weather looks like total shit right noww
check
Just a word of caution if that's the route you're planning. Taking the blackfoot/17th ave to maxbell is a gong show, there's no left turn to barlow north. You'll have to double back through the residential a couple blocks lol but that shouldn't be a problem if everyone behaves.
*edit*
I would also like you to consider a different route altogether. Blackfoot is a terrible road.
This is my suggestion
From chinook mall to west glenmore (avoid the lights over the bridge as it's a single lane left turn and the group will get split up)
Glenmore to northbound Sarcee trail.
Sarcee trail to eastbound Bow Trail
Eastbound through to the core.
Left up to Memorial
Memorial up to Barlow
Barlow south to Maxbell
The second level by zellers and the food court.Quote:

Kilkennys is pretty good, there are plenty of parking spots in that little mall, maybe not right beside the pub, but there should be enough if we park near the Sears and than we can walk to Kilks. And you can't beat 1 cent ribs :D. Only thing with the plan is if we show up at 10, I think it'll be too hard to get a table, the place usually gets packed pretty early. My suggestion is to roll there for the "checkpoint", have everybody grab a bite and than roll out afterward and hit up Stoney. That way you can go straight from Glenmore to Crowchild and just cruise there and than afterwards cruise from Crowchild to Stoney and than wherever.
And the weather might be shitty (rain is forecasted tonight) so if we do something like a checkpoint at Max Bell, we might end up getting rained on.
Already got rained on. and of course just after washing my car at lunch.
:banghead:
I agree! lets go with your route, I'm in! Bow Trail hasnt' been toured for awhile, looks like a nice way to cruise on there too! good call :) Instincts say this route is a very good route!Quote:

Is that s2000. Comming and the 300 ? Still debating if I should roll wit my buddy... You guys think this will be a big turn out ?
Just a heads up, might want to start the cruise a bit earlier as the Auto-X group is meeting starting their meeting at 7 so they'll be outside for over an hour and a half if we start at 8:45 and it's gonna be chilly tonight.
Agreed! The weather is absolute rubbish at the mo!Quote:

You guys still going?
I believe the meet / cruise is still on. I've been texting with star-k and he's not eluding to any cancellation. :)
Yup we're still going! I'm doing a ride along to take pics lol I'll be with krusso04
So is the actual meet and auto cross volunteer meet a 7?
I'll probably make it at 8 or something... but wanted to check out the volunteer meet and see if i could help out / learn some stuff
When the cruise rolling out?
Volunteer meeting is at 7. So far, the cruise is rolling out at 8:45.
On my way now
it was a nice cruise!!!!! (c)Alex_skyline:thumbsup:
Yup, it was fun!

Did anyone see that same black helicopter flying over us at around 9pm? I think it was the SAME black helicopter that flew over us at the Deerfoot meet!?
soo stoked to see all the awsome pics you took!! :poosie:Quote:

Glad I made it in time, good cruise, good eats
Nice to meet some of you guys!

Oh well the weekend is coming

Ya ya rub it in lol. Maybe if someone wasn't driving like a loone I'd have been able to take some ;)
Thanks for the awesome time guys! Tons of fun. Glad we went out for food. The bar manager wasn't impressed having that huge of a crew roll in so late lol
Yes it was a good time. Now where are the rest of the pics. Lol
Well boston pizza is one of the only places that can actually handle a large crew like that.
maybe we'll find some other places that can too
Sorry but i thought it was the worst planned cruise ever compared to the guys who do the saturday night cruises no one really knew where they were going and so many ppl got lost/left behind
just a suggestion post a google map of the route before the cruise , and try not to make it go into the down town area way to may light
Ya I agree, the issue was starting so early, during the week, at chinook. Absolutely brutal traffic. I wouldn't suggest doing that again, unless we all left in organized groups, not one big cluster.
Keeping large ones to the weekends is the best idea.
Yea it was pretty sloppy .. Once we left chinook only like 8 cars were with me in the front
And everyone was like left behind it was like me the 300 the supra and the genesis and accord
and like 2 other.cars
I was in the second group and got there just fine :dunno: I don't think it was too bad. Can't really do much about traffic.
And I was following rsx-s to downtown before I lost him :) After that Anthon(mazda3) gave me right directions where to go :)
I think that red mazda was following me too lol he was in the very back
ya he was with the first group
I thought it was good organization, just the problem was, the idea of hooking up with the normal beyond meet failed since it was hard to bail out right...
I have a couple of pics i'll post in a bit - Still learning how to use the rebel xti
next time i would suggest if we do leave from the mall again take glenmore west to sareese to 16ave west then get on stony trail and do the full loop back to 16th on the east side of town and stop at peters they have food , drinks , and a good parking lot for all the cars
Just my 2 cents
if u need any help with ur xti, just ask me! :)Quote:

I like it too. Peters has pretty good food)Quote:

yeah it was fun. i haven't been to one of these meets in a couple years.
btw Ken, your IS looks even better in person.
That does sound like a great idea, but that doesn't solve the traffic issue. I really think we should do the reverse. Leaving from a central location at the beginning will always have the most traffic and congestion. Starting from the outside will mean it'll be later when we get to the inside. So if we say, started at maxbell around 930, we could cruise up deerfoot to 16th then to peters (considering how hungry people were maybe food earlier is a good idea.. and when does peters close?) then eat, have some fun with pictures and stuff, then head back down 16th to deerfoot north around 1045, hit the ring road, take it all around to 16th west, then sarcee/glenmore to chinook, or even keep going glenmore to say... barlow tims? Have some coffee and call it a night.
Thanks jimmy , glad u like it .. But its still underconstruction
Gotta mold my wald spoiler so it looks more flush. And fix my rear lip a little
Lovin the supra pretty sick
Yeah thanks alex, next time I'll bring a tripod and play with shutter speeds too like you saidQuote:

peters would have sucked last night with the weather. but definitely a good idea for the upcoming nice weather, once all the snow melts. lol
