Remember the old Canada Cups??
They had the World Cup in I think it was '96... the US beat Canada in the final.
It's pretty much like the Olympics tournament again, but only with the GOOD teams that have NHLers... it's sponsored by the NHLPA so we get to see all the national dream teams go at it again!!!
The gold medal game is the day before the end of the collective bargaining agreement, so it could be the last hockey we see for a long time, but at least it will be awesome!!!
GO CANADA!!
Oh yeah: Lemieux has already confirmed that he will play, as long as he is healthy!

I remember this like it was yesterday... series was tied 1-1 and Canada blew the last game. I cant believe it.... it was such a great series though, just a shame Canada lost.
But really... world cup is this year again?
Wow I thought they stopped doing this, cant wait to see the games.
EdiT: Taken from NHL.com
"The North American Pool will include Canada, Russia, Slovakia and the United States, while the European Pool includes the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany and Sweden. Teams will participate in round-robin play within their pool."
Canada takes on the U.S first game of Round robin... should be interesting.
WOW! This is gonna be 1 insane tournament.
