Johnny Jew is a toss up still.

All I wanted was a meme of Nenshi in a green bin.
Smith called Nenshi to concede. That’s all folks.
One can hope that this close call at least humbles Nenshi and makes him a little more understanding of a city where nearly half the citizens don't support him.
It's always hard to beat an incumbent but I thought Smith would have made a better showing in the 'burbs.

Well that was jolly exciting...
He say let's work together, his face say fuck the haters.
Looks like Chu and Sutherland are both back.
He is only 1 vote. This council has way more UCP influence than last. It won't be a easy ride for him. Especially when UCP retake the province in 2019.
Also sounds like someone from the Flames camp posted and deleted a tweet comparing Nenshi to Trump, calling both arrogant. Now I wonder if Trump will tweet back. Seattle Flames it is.
Do candidates still need to disclose donors even if they lost? I’m curious if CSEC donated to Smith’s campaign
Never bet against purple.
Well this beyond poll certainly didn't reflect the real thing.
If nenshi would have lost, I was looking forward to his ensuing diabolical tirade :)
Well anyway, if you think he's fat now...
As someone who hates first past the post voting (and non-term limit elected roles to a lesser extent), this election has to be one of the most frustrating in memory. I don’t think anyone can be happy with all incumbents getting reelected, despite hating druh I still am amazed sutherland, chu, carra, etc. Managed to get back in with significant numbers.
Unfortunately this election just seems to reinforce the status quo, I don’t think we will see our electoral system overhauled any time soon. I have my doubts there will even be much blowback from the ballot shortage. Look at how council handled the playground zone snafu and it gives you an idea of what will come, a talking to in front of council, a slap on the wrist, and business as usual.
This is terrible.
I guess hipsters do vote.
