Toto just went down a few notches.
I pictured him in a wood adorned office, with a real fireplace, wearing a three piece evening suit drinking whisky way too expensive to comprehend.
Smoking a cigar and basking in his glory.
Not shenanigans like that.
Toto had a long interview today. The biggest news is there Mercedes is dropping the appeal.
Some additional notes:
- Didn't want to change the results.
- Max is a worthy champion (repeated his msg to Max and Horner)
- This had nothing to do with Max, Horner or RBR. It's all FIA. Not interested in talking to Masi. FIA needs to do their job and deal with him.
- Lewis had pushed the team to drop the appeal and push for FIA changes. The commission to investigate is a result of that.
- Rules were made on the fly and left their strategy impossible.
- Not sure if Hamilton might continue next year. Hopes he does.
- Lewis or him won't be attending the gala. James Allison will be the Mercedes rep there.
That would be a shame if Hamilton doesn’t return, though I wouldn’t blame him because of the fuckery FIA pulled. Tho hopefully he makes it 8 WDC’s before he does that ideally.
The long awaited return of Hullllkkkkennnburg is possible hahah. I though ham might retire given the circumstances, he doesn’t need the money and the likely hood of 1 team dominating next year should be high. Might be Mercedes that dominates but he also has to deal with a super fast teammate now. Who are the possible replacements??
Bottas, nick de vries, hulkenburg, lando, Ricardo, vettel
Those are my guesses, I bet it’s a high possibility he leaves.
He'll probably pull an Alonso and come back in 2024
Lewis has said that racing isn’t his primary motivation anymore. It’s a big part of it, but the primary reason he’s still in it is that it gives him a platform and a voice for pushing social issues.
I personally DGAF about the whole SJW aspect of Hamilton, in fact I feel it’s too much. I just want to see him continue to make history and to have witnessed it in my life time.
So I have no doubts he’ll keep going.
I hope that Merc will have a Winner in 2022.
They put all their focus on 2022 car and hope it pays off.

And people wonder why I can't stand him. It felt so good watching Max cross that finish line.
Nothing more cringy and insufferable than an entertainment celebrity thinking we want to hear anything coming out of their pie-holes about "social issues". Him and Lebron can take their John Lennon act and launch themselves into the sun.
Does that Hamilton guy do that? That's insufferable.
Is he a gay athlete? The 12 extra minutes I half-watched the other day he was apparently talking at length with "his partner" (before he came to the podium) who I think was a big black dude.
So now I'm off to the Pet Peeves thread because people are overusing "partner". Do they own a catering business, or, are they drilling each other?
Straight people that use partner in place of boy/girlfriend are vegans. Prove I'm wrong.
