It's thicker around the tub on the wall than the rest of the decorative tiles.
Also what happened to the switch behind the toilet? Was that the fan switch? Or a switch to turn the plug on? Or does a tile guy know this? haha.
The tile guy does know this in this case, as I did the entire project, lol. That tub was an actual jetted jacuzzi tub. The swith behind the toilet was the pump switch. It was a weird shape and size so the wall was framed larger than standard. We had to bring the wall out almost an inch. We considered bringing the entire wall out, but then that screwed up where it met the bathroom door, so we ended it at the tub perimeter.
New/larger exhaust fan plus new exterior window was also added to the reno.

Was it originally a plaster wall? I have plaster in my house and it measures over 7/8" thick.
