How loud are they ?
Louder than those fancy Honda fanboys' gens. But they're not too bad, I run them in campsites and they don't seem to disturb others. There's decibel info on them online. I'd say if you don't need to run a generator often, they're good. Buy one and invest the money you saved into 6V batteries.
Accurate
And this morning at Drayton Valley right before I hit the highway. It was pouring in the morning, but fortunately it was pretty easy to pack up from the inside haha

I agree, some people still run their $400 3000W open frame construction generators for hours on end.
Honda and Yamaha are the quietest generators but you're still going to hear them a bit. I spent a modest amount on 6V golf cart batteries, solar panel, inverter to charge your cell phone etc. from battery. Now I only have to run a generator every 3 or 4 days for an hour to charge the batteries, and that's without letting the batteries discharge below 50%.
I can run 5 - 7 days without a charge ( not in the fall when the furnace runs all night) but Wifey likes her morning latte and I like real toast not that savage stuff made over the fire, so we run the genny for 15 mins a day for our 1st world problems and not cause we need to charge.

Pretty sad news, but that's always been my fear with a camper, I'm sure these things would be entirely engulfed in flames in minutes.
One bonus of a hybrid.. exits everywhere
Dang rip. Good reminder for me to replace my second score / co detector
Im watching this one closely. It will be very unusual for a fire to start but be limited to the internal of a trailer. You're right, they usually go up like a matchstick house. That with the fact they are easy to escape and generally have safeguards such as smoke/co detectors it just all seems fishy.
They do burn fast, but generally easy to escape. Malfunctioning or absent CO or propane detector?
Anyone want a free site for tomorrow to Saturday (can be extended). Bow Valley with 15 amp power in E loop.
i'll take it if it's still available!
