Just on the front though. Not the sides. Water won't go around it. Don't worry, Jyoti, P. Eng confirm that.

Got ours installed today from W&J as well. Smooth install and now we just need to wait for some warmer weather to fire it up but until that shows up, the rain will be good for the new sod.
Chatting with our realtor last night about A/C and his HVAC guy casually mentioned to him the other day that anyone that wants a unit should try and do it this year, as next year they're using a new refrigerant, and prices for units are going up some 30%.
Jan 1, 2023 the current refrigerant R-410a will be banned for sale in new equipment. One popular replacement that’s slightly better, is flammable and not compatible with current equipment. This will now be a common occurrence every few years, until every house has a different flavour or everybody is running co2 like most new supermarkets and small/med sized industrial buildings.
So soon, when there is a stop sale on R-410a, everyone will have to buy a new Heat Pump to make Justin happy.
Seems like a whole lot of bother for the tiny volume of leaking refrigerant, even with a very high CO2 equivalency.

You're worse than Hitler. Climate Hitler. ClimHitler!!
quick question for the ac folks, on a day like today, 16 degrees outside currently, why won’t the ac run? low temp limit switch?
Dunno, mine will.
Mine was running but it’s a fairly high tech 38 year old piece of equipment that is still working and running like a charm. It’s also never been covered, hasn’t leaked and gets watered by the sprinkler regularly.

Might be a smart thermostat saving you from yourself.
Some kind of smart thermostat seems possible. Too smart frankly.
Easy to diagnose that, just adjust the smart settings, or jumper directly at the furnace control board.
documentation says 12 degrees, it’s on the side of the house so maybe it was cold enough. ecobee setting is at 7 degrees for low cut off.
edit: seems like a low ambient kit would help
yup blue icon, furnace fan runs as well, compressor doesn’t start on a/c unit outside
