Starting on the 4th line, but throughout the game that can always be changed. I predict that he might see some PP time as well. Should be a good one, love the Olympics but am thrilled the NHL is back!
both goals Ortio let in were weak, and I had a great seat to watch them both. Flames D struggled, even though the only let like 21 shots on goal, but Ortio looked fairly good for his NHL debut. Give him a few games to get the butterflies out, and I think he can be pretty solid.
Ortio looked uncomfortable, wasn't playing in his normal stance, probably a little shaken. Next game will probably look better
no kidding. definitely didn't look right. I looked up his stats, though, guy is little. if he packs on some more size he'd look better out there. He was getting out muscled a few timesQuote:

Same height and weight as Kipprusoff. Ortio usually looks better out their, in the pre season games I saw with him, and in Abbotsford. Usually a bit more aggressive, not as hunched over. Just looked a tad nervous.Quote:

That said our defense played pretty badly too. Hopefully they both turn it around
He's the same height and weight as kipper, 6'1 185.....that's not that little, it's bigger then 6 NHL starting goalies (Thomas, Howard, Theodore, Bernier, Nabakov, Halak)Quote:

That's the same size as Marc-Andre Fleury, Henrik Lundqvist, Craig Anderson, Backstrom and Cam Ward. (Anderson is listed at 6'2 on NHL but 6'1 on 3 other sites so that one might be an exception and there could be others I just took goalies in the top 20 stats)
He did look like he had happy feet but I imagine playing his first NHL game might have had something to do with it.

Derek Smith on waivers. For the third time this year.
Burke had a press conference this morning. Didn't say much but the media wanted to ask some questions. Looks like any deals Calgary does will be done tomorrow.
David Jones will be out of 2-3 weeks after his fall yesterday. Upper body, looked like a separated shoulder to me. Was in a sling after the game.
Kevin Westgarth will miss the rest of the week as a precaution, but says he feels good.
Matt Stajan won't play again tomorrow night, away from the team for personal reasons. Wife is having the baby.
And don't forget luongo was traded to the panthers.
