Question about Differential Oil Change

I have a 2011 Outlander and i'm going to change the transfer case oil and the rear diff oil. The manual asks for a GL5 SAE 80 for both but I'm having a hard time of finding this in a synthetic. Does anyone know a brand that has a straight 80 in a synthetic or an alternative that I can use?

I called the dealer and they said there is no synthetic but they will sell me stock fluid so unsure if they just want to push their fluid.

Using straight 80 seems like a terrible idea for our climate. Since it's out of warranty, I would use multi-weight.

JBS power center has 75w85 if you want to stick to being as close as possible. It's definitely not going to hurt it.

is there a chart of viscosity equivalents that i can use? I'm seeing alot of people using 75w90 too .

80W-90 is a very "standard" gear oil. available everywhere. If you really want full Synth, looks like most are 75W90, which will be fine.

Clutch-type limited slip differentials are picky about fluid, most others are not.

I went with liqui moly 75w90
