Since Trump will not allow a Chinese owned company to operate in the USA, a logical avenue would be to simply sell it to Bill Gates for $50 Billion?
Thats a lot of nickels.

Another tool for him to spread teh covidz.
I personally wouldn't take it. Realistically, what could you possibly buy with $50 Billion US? Hardly seems worth.
Sell a 2% stake for 1 Billion, and then spend the billion on 100 lifetimes of strippers and coke seems like the better play.
I am more than willing to sell 2% of myself for a billion USD.
Does make me wonder that if African nations somehow start making superior products (cellphones, data, steel) Will the USA ban them too?
Side note: This does make me wonder if they do sell it to a US entity, will it make TikTok less appealing to US users?
I mean really, if you buy a tablet made in China and then surf for goat porn - the only people that are going to know are some Asians that sit around a table halfway around the world (probably laughing). BUT. If you buy a tablet made in the USA and then surf for goat porn - the next order you get from Amazon will probably have a suggested buying list of extra strength condoms on a coupon special from your local warehouse.
Arguably, who do you really want spying on you? Your grandpa or someone elses grandpa on the other side of the world. I rest my opinion.
Good point ^

Trump wants his cut. Original Gangster.
I think Galen Weston should be forced to sell to a Chinese company to continue doing business in Canada, and I will take my 2 Billion fee for setting up the deal.
Food is about as national security as it gets, people die without food. Unshakable logic.
Venezuela nationalized oil, maybe they should have stopped at just nationalizing food distribution. Should Canada mandate food distribution and take it away from the Westons?
Seems to be that people are questioning what TikTok is worth. Is it actually worth ten KeystoneXLs? If you ask me, its got way more growth potential that that, so its *easily* worth twenty pipelines.

Its also worth noting that Chinese majority owned videogames are pretty abundant too. Each of these is easily worth at least half a KeystoneXL, Fortnite arguably worth more than a pipeline (and potential earnings off it)
They have also got some crazy awesome indie developers for the mobile space, that arguably might grow to overcome console/PC revenues.
If the Nickel to Gucci ratio is 1:100, then surely the videogame to oilpipeline ratio is at least 2:1. Which begs the question: Did I take the right education thirty years ago?
New developments: Oracle wants TikTok and TikTok sues Trump administration.

Solid case from the sounds of it, what sort of damages could TikTok get for disruption of business?
Walmart wants TikTok.
Everyone wants in. Crazy growth vector, plus you can make yourself or your company into a legend even more than a hollywood star.
