Haha I know. I've repeatedly stated that I don't like 911's due to the similarity with Beetle's cosmetically but everything I read and review I've watched states that every car enthusiast must at least try a 911 once so I said fuck it.

I will be trading the AMG for it. I am still keeping the Alfa as a daily and the 911 though will get winter tires, I will use on as desired basis.
AMG GT vs 911 Carrera S

Spoiler alert Porsche wins.
I can't remember all of Shak's various cars but this is probably my favorite one. P Car for the win. I'll gladly take it off your hands when you're done with it in 3 months!
I think it's a subjective thing. I have been getting majority of people saying it's an upgrade brand wise as well car itself wise and some people saying it's a downgrade looks wise/performance wise. Either way I am excited for it...though delivery got delayed from tonight to later in the week due to shit weather and the winter tires also got delayed. I have yet to drive a 911 so not sure what to expect and ultimately I will draw my comparisons between this one vs AMG GTS vs Aston Martin Vantage.
I've only driven a 991.2 but it's stupid fun. Too bad you couldn't do a Euro delivery because the roads (highways/country) /museum in Stuttgart is amazing. Mercedes has an even better museum there as well.
For a track car, sure, but I don't think Shak lives on the track ya know? From an ADD daily driver / autobahn burner / smiles-per-mile perspective, I was thinking the AMG GT would have the edge.
BUT, I definitely hear that "340 day/year usability vs. 150 day/year usability" argument. Definitely carries some weight with the average person...but has Shak held onto a sports car long enough to even benefit from that?
Edit: Curious as you cycle through cars, why haven't given a Jag F-Type a go? I feel like it would press at least a few of your buttons.

340 day usability seems like an odd argument when you just bought a winter car that you are keeping a hold of.
haha, guilty as charged. Stopped reading when the headline said "chasing apexes"
Went back and actually read it. Seems like both would be great but having driving neither, I'll still stand by my comment that I think the C4S is in a slightly different place than the GT. Interesting to see if it's enough to satisfy Shak's disease.
Nothing is going to be enough to satisfy my disease. Eventually I am going to buy a complete POS beater and keep that as an only vehicle because if the nicer ones don't cut it, then might as well save a lot of dough.
