thought about buying SQ but didnt have enough funds, bought some NVDA around 500$ though :nut:
most of my extra cash is going to NIO
AMD seems logical.
I almost hit NVDA at $490. I like both that and AMD. What a rally this week.
Careful about NIO! TSLA is a way safer bet. Also like HYLN.
I have nothing else to add:

Vinegar strokes.
Stonks bouncing around.

Airlines and banks... holy poo
Poor ZM, PTON, OSTK, SHOP.
why would overstock be going down on that news?
Biden won. Pandemic over.
It probably just got caught in the stay at home buying more online furniture wave. I am a little sad that LOGI's down even though I sold a long time ago.
CAR and HTZGQ up over 20%. RCL up 26%.

Only the left wingers believe that.
I think there is some legitimacy here vs. when Russia surprised the world with their "vaccine." The market seems to pounce on any news of COVID ending (airline stocks jumping, for example), which quickly subsides.
Either way I believe we'll see some dramatic upside in the energy and travel sectors, but will come back down the end of this week/early next week. Stocks like ZM, SHOP, hell even Amazon are down today.
Oddly, other vaccine stocks are also up while others are way down.
That's exactly what big pharma wants you to think, that Russia vaccine is a joke, these people got mansions to purchase, and as long as they can put down any other attempt at a vaccine as being unreliable, they come out with the big $$$. I would bet Russian vaccine is no less effective than any of the western ones. Hell the ruler of Dubai just got jabbed by a Chinese vaccine... I don't think any country would want to release a vaccine that doesn't work or isn't safe and tarnish it's reputation.
The Russian vaccine trial was how long?
Does trial length make a vaccine more effective?
Asking for SKR
BYND acting all stonky today. Down, Up, Super down.
Sure they approved it quick, but so will Pfizer, none of them are going through the long ass trials normally required, that's why they are trying to get emergency use authorization, to get that shit out there and stop the spread. It's killing people and economies, so can't blame them.
"Pfizer's candidate is an mRNA vaccine, an unproven technology that uses a snippet of the coronavirus' genome to encourage antibody production. Moderna's uses the same approach, though no mRNA vaccine has ever been approved before. " I won't be the first to line up for any of these...

Finance, serious business
Down because McD's announced McPlant Burger. Up because rumour has it that they are working with BYND on McPlant. Massively down in after hours because they massively missed earnings estimate due to slowdown in consumer spending.
Edit:. Now Pizza Hut chose them over Kellogg's Incogmeato.
BYND has 6 months of inventory on its BS whereas a typical food business would have a month - how long does this stuff keep? Also, cost parity too high for any real adoption at any of the fast food restaurants. These partnerships are meaningless unless they can get cost parity down. BYND trading like a penny stock lately - and they should be (a penny stock). Beyond Meats has a product, not a business.
When your product is a combination of chemicals and preservatives in can last quite a while.
Beyond meat is absolutely terrible for you.

Cheetos is my favourite food. Beyond Meat is healthy in comparison.
Badclusion: Market over-reaction due to McD's being dinks on not announcing their partnership. LONG BYND.
Quote:
The good news: Meatless burgers are a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals...
The bad news: Meatless burgers are heavily processed and high in saturated fat
It always seemed kind of crazy for people who had a dietary restriction to find simulants of the foods they avoid. Like Gluten free bread, which is awful shit from a health perspective, as well as tasting nasty. There's so much delicious gluten free food out there.
Like 100% Beef Burders.
But in reality we don't care if they are healthy or not - so long as they don't kill people (too quickly like the covids). BYND has inroads with China via Starbucks (iirc); selling at Costco; are the only pure meat alternative play until Impossible and OPES comes on (I kind of like OPES); and can surprise if lockdowns subside or if more pig cows need to be culled. They have a pretty wide range of products and are developing more. It's more about investing in their moat.
The downside is that stonkholders in this stock are fickle. I am taking another skim through their release yesterday. First impressions was that it isn't as bad as the market made it out to be.
TSLA has a good shot at overshooting 2021 projections of 800-1MM vehicles produced imho.
been reading more into PLTR, anyone in it yet?
PLTR laughing at me for selling this morning at $17.10... wanted to free up some capital to hedge NIO earnings, should have just left it
KNDI stonk on fire today too
Bought MU @ 61.83 and ADP @ 176.30 today.
They're not very stonky tbh. Either way - the entire essence of stonks is to buy at ath and sell at ath-er.
Also: poor NIO.
IR missed expectations: https://ir.nio.com/static-files/39d3...e-b040b368719a
Well... got stuck in a meeting all afternoon and didn’t hedge shit
NIO really isn’t doing a NIO style sell off AH though. Should be an interesting second half to the week
Hedge? What do you think this is? r/investing?
Hmmm....NIO's earnings weren't bad at all. Probably going to stonk like a stonk should stonk.
Zero... I get my late night lulz from the number one financial news source... WSB
I'm rarely on Reddit but this made me laugh, have to join WSB now for some occasional lol

Im really starting to think fundamentals are ded, way more strength from retail than ever before. Hop on the meme of the day and just don’t fight it.
What are new fundamentals?
I'm around 95% cash right now after this morning. Buy back in when market cools off a bit (my bet is that it does).
I'm around 60% cash, but having some FOMO watching the tail end of this run. Expecting a reversal when S&P is about $3650.
Or you know... ya’ll could have just parked it in tsla...
Just curious on how long this vaccine euphoria lasts.
Well last week, it only lasted to Friday. I expect a COVID spike after Thanksgiving next week. And another during the holidays.
Planning on taking December off.
Probably the right call. The next 1-2 months are going to be highly volatile. Crazy rates of covid all over NA (we're fucked), the promise of seamless vaccine distribution (we're saved), basically on the verge of shutdown (we're fucked)...and then Thanksgiving/Christmas coming up (but covid is only at the grocery store, mkay)...oh and a polar opposite President coming into office in two months.
Good for the day traders out there I guess!
You can’t lose if you never sell
