There's only 4? I've never been there. Along the river I assume.
Edit: So what are your places in line with 6 devices going?

We are looking to book two sites. Need two sessions as it doesn’t look like one can book multiple sites. Friends are doing the same thing for different dates. 25715 in the queue.
Seeing as this is the future of camping, I really regret not buying a Wilderness Village membership when there were fire sales last spring. Someone with more money than me could do really well duplicating their business model, especially if it were closer to Calgary.
*EDIT: I booked one spot from my phone and instead of "add to cart" it took me through the reservation process then kicked me back into the queue.
Stuck in line at 31,xxx. Not looking good lol
With six devices all started before 8AM and then randomized we got the following queue numbers:
15,433
25,688
12,031
15,601
7,014
14,449
I am actually commuting to a physical workplace these days, so I shut down my work laptop and left my WFH wife with the other five running. Started a new session from work at 8:35 and got over 30,000 in line.
And no, there's a lot more than 4 spots, but there's an entire loop at Kicking Horse Campground that is a wide open field with pull-through sites, so basically a parking lot. I'm not staying in that. And there's a lot of shorter sites that my trailer wouldn't fit into, so there were 4 that looked "good by my criteria" and were large enough. I'm picky.
Potentially some new fees for crown land camping coming soon

$30 a year is not bad tho
They could make fortune by just enforcing existing rules nd issuing fines. DUI on OHV vehicle seizures would absolutely RAKE in the money.
Do DUI’s rake in the money?
Seems like a lot of effort goes into investigation, conviction, enforcement of orders. None of that is cheap. Regardless of the size of the fine or value of seizures I bet you every DUI conviction net costs the province tons of money.
I dunno. I'm living in a dream world where roadside enforement is swift and severe and invovled vehicle seizures. The fish cops can seize your boat or truck for almost any infraction. I thought RCMP had similar powers. I have no actual knowledge.

Wife got in at 9:10 from spot 7014. All spots taken at Kicking Horse Campground. Wife grabbed something at MacLeod Meadows that looks big enough, but that place is tttttiiiight to wheel a trailer around. I'll do a recce (reck-ee?) trip in a couple of weeks on my way to invermere.
EDIT2. What is it that british army guys say when they mean reconnaissance?>
Yeah, that. I knew what it sounded like, but didn't know how it was spelled in writing. Thanks!
Lol, wtf.
My turn was just up, so I clicked the link, and got a 404 page.
Wait list is faster today, my laptop with 15000 queue number just came up. Didn't find anything better than what my wife already booked. I'm shutting down reservations for a couple months.
Anyone camped at Beauvais lake campground before? yay or nay?
Randomly signed in this afternoon and was able to snag a site at kicking horse next to the river. Hopefully no BC closures in Aug.
Anyone used CampAlert service to find opening for campsite?
Any feedback on it?
Nice work. @2020
That's how I get most of my sites these days. I find booking really early doesn't work anymore.
Yeah, I've heard that. Hop on daily at 9am and see. Just takes a routine that is hard for me to fit into the schedule
