592HP with a turbo/exhaust upgrade with an ECU remap. +50HP with tune only, wild.
Yeah 50 is on the low side for regular turbo application. However I think from a 2.0 Turbo that's already outputting 421HP it's pretty decent, maybe that number is to the wheels as well (not sure). I'm sure a piggyback will become available down the road that could get you closer to 500 without any other modifications.
Is that official??
I was thinking it would come in at 50-53k
Pricing isn’t official until literally the day of release. Would be surprised if msrp is at 65k tho. Heavily optioned? Sure. Should be in the low 50s msrp is my guess.
might have to look into this.
The new GLA looks like a Buick Encore.
Maybe I’m cheap in my old age but it seems a lot for an A class.
And while the 4Cyl is a good engine, you are knocking on V8 AMG territory wrapped in a nicer car to boot.
Hopefully these aren’t that popular with the winder public, and there are some discount green models to pick from 9 months after launch.
My GLA45 was almost $80k out the door. I thought that was silly money considering C63 was around $20k more but I thought it was worth the money. Aside from the lag, it was a damn good car, decent bang for the buck especially on a good lease that I was on. Wouldn't be surprised to see the A45 approach the $90k range loaded up. It's just too bad there's no hybrid to clear up that lag a bit.
A35 is 65k, A45 10k more at 75k, plus options. I paid 88k for my new C63 with plenty of options. That’s knocking on V8 AMG territory to me.
And no you would lol, Elon doesn’t sell any cars with V8’s.
Gonna be a moot point in a year when the C63 is a 4 banger anyway.
I'll be surprised if it's quite that cheap. Maybe with zero options. The outgoing A45/GLA45 which is most similar to the upcoming 35 could be optioned up to around $70-80K if I recall correctly. I bet the A35 is closer to $60-65K and the A45 closer to 75-80K with a few of the most common options. I'm probably going to have to stick with the A250 unless the lease rates on the A35 are really excellent  Or maybe the new GTI if it's good.
