We have a client in Gander, Newfoundland who purchased 3 pieces of furniture. We need to get them there, preferably on a backhaul as the shipping budget is tight on this order, however we've been coming up short on options.
Would appreciate any suggestions for reasonably priced options. They are currently not palletized, however they can be consolidated onto a pallet if it's a cheaper alternative.
how big are they? maybe greyhound?

I don't think you will find a cheaper and more reliable company to ship this via truck.
If you can palletize them, then i'd suggest shipping it LTL. LTL carriers i've had good exp with are Manitoulin and SLH.

freighters bid on your cargo, it can get very reasonable, but I have also heard that it can be way out to lunch sometimes

The pieces are too large for Greyhound.
Day and Ross trucking usually ship things super cheap.
Check kijiji sometimes guys post there as they are going and coming with an empty truck or just looking to fill it....I've had good luck this way.
Give Quik-X a call for a quote. They do LTL and most likely will be your cheapest option (for a trucking company).
East west express also does LTL and may be worth calling (though may be more expensive if they go that far).
