The cops showed up at 5am and there was a lot of yelling. It appears nothing has changed.
They're actually throwing their empty food containers over the fence and into my yard now. There's more trash every day.

i vote for the plastic melting spray solution, or shoot holes in the tarp with a bb or airsoft from an inconspicuous location so they dont know its coming from you.... just to cause leaks, maybe hit them a few times for lolz
Subsonic .22 would make slightly larger holes......
By-law should be all over this
It's a Mar thread. Here's gonna wait for ten pages, then act on none of these suggestions.
so i reently went through something similar, i didnt post before because it wasnt resolved, but now it is so i'll tell the story
about 3 weeks ago, while walking to my bus stop i saw a bike parked at the back of a local business here, i thought it was odd because people like to steal bikes and this one was unlocked... then i noticed that there was an old sign, one of those big box lighted signs stores use, it was leaned up on the side of the building, obviously removed from service but never trashed, anyway there was a bunch of cardboard and tarps and stuff taped to either end of it making a bit of a tent, some homeless guy living there, so i put in a complaint on the 311 app as a general issue, then they closed that one and re-opened another classified as "commercial encampment" it sat like that for a couple weeks and today on my way home i noticed it had all been cleaned out, not sure if it was the city, the business, (or unlikely the inhabitant) that had removed it all.
Set up a camera in you your back yard, I have a feeling things will escalate before they resolve themselves.
The colder weather will actually be an incentive for them to stay, given they’ve made a decent shelter for themselves. Unless it flooded in near freezing weather...
Wait for overnight frost and run the sprinkler and turn it into a giant block of ice
When heading south on Blackfoot trail, just after crossing 46th ave halfway up the hill, check out the encampment on the right in the trees. It's getting pretty big, it's highly visible, city won't act until it's encroaching onto the road.
I called in an elaborate camp, 2 years ago, in the trees on Nose Hill and bylaw cleared them out fairly quickly.
As I remember, something happened there and they cut all the trees back, but it's overgrown again now. Good location, they got a Tims to hit for breakfast.
Really, he just needs to flood the area. When they aren't around to see you, hide a hose leading close enough but not easily visible and turn it on. Not full blast, but enough that it'll soak the area over a few days.
It’s shocking to me that these days we can’t even get scumbags arrested up for shooting up drugs in an alley on the regular and leaving needles everywhere.
But drive in the wrong lane down Center st at the wrong time and they have an hour long sting setup.
Friend of mine has a renter who turned the shed in the backyard of his property into a grow-op. They set up heaters, lined the whole thing with tinfoil, humidifiers etc. and ruined everything. He called the police and they said they can't go inside the drug shed because it's locked...so he's currently SOL.
Rent a skid steer and push it all out into the street. Return skid steer. Don't get caught. Then call 311. Take videos for all of us too.
