Can't wait until it gets to Uranus
Yeah very excited to see what they get next week. I never knew Pluto was reddish... always figured it was some sort of grey ice ball.
You need a solar system map for Christmas. You seem to be looking for Uranus in all the wrong places. :DQuote:

I've been following this story for a while. Super excited to see the closer views of pluto.
Details are starting to get sharper now.

It's going to be some time before I imagine Pluto as a small red ball instead of a small grey ball, haha. Old habits die hard!
I read that it will take 16 months for all the data to be sent back to earth due to the distance and shitty upload rate due to it. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Ya it's too bad the craft couldn't slow down enough to orbit Pluto and get some real detailed photos. New Horizons is going to do the fastest ricer fly by ever
The fact that humans were able to do this is very impressive.
Less than 1 million miles to go now. New Horizons is on its own now. No more communications until after the fly-by. Looking forward to the results!
Tuesday will be a cool day indeed!
The orbital path of Pluto's moons is pretty cool!

In astronomical time, it's not going to very long before a few of those bodies are going to be "doing it".
Many have just recently. The proof being the needy grand kids causing the irregular orbits :D
They may be irregular, but they're likely stable orbits.
Hnggggg only 13 hours or so until some new images!
Lol looks like Pluto has an image of Pluto (as in Disney) on it ;)
Pffffft, that isn't even a real planet anymore....
