Just FYI - ANY file that is public can be linked. That file could have been posted on Slashdot, Google, or anywhere else WITHOUT asking your permission.Quote:

If you want private files, you either set a password on the directory, or you set limits on which referrers are allowed to download (ie, no hotlinking). It's up to YOU as the admin to do this.
Do you really think every time a video is posted that someone should look up the administrator for that domain, contact them, and ask permission? Being public is implied permission.
