Following up on my grade 10 math posts. I had a great phone call today with the "student services" Dept of the local cbe high school for my kid who will be in grade 10 next year. Miraculously, they are already signed up for "math 10-15" aka "math 15" aka "full-year math" aka "math 10-prep".
Considering the middle school denies that such a course exists, it's great to hear that the kid is enrolled in it.
A very nice option for kids still considering post secondary.
The student services person did say that if the fall semester portion, which is mostly grade 9 math review, was a struggle, then the school would suggest moving to math 10-2 for winter.
So, it's still up to the kid to pull up their socks and learn the material, but this should provide ample opportunity.
