Those Genesis Gold units are fantastic! My mother in law has one, and I greatly prefer cooking on it compared to my newer Weber Summit. Heavier stainless grills, virtually zero hot spots, starts...

Solid grabs man, that Glentauchers sounds amazing!
Emerald is getting a much needed renovation this year, heard it's going to be pretty big. I love that place but absolutely agree that the cabins are extremely dated. My favorite place is the Post...
Bought a Miele dishwasher a couple years ago and it works flawlessly. Gets everything clean without rinsing even on the short 50min cycle. Has a built in water softening system and an automatic...
Andrew at Kensington Wine Market is awesome for charity events, can often give you better prices than you'll find anywhere else. Worth a chat for sure.
Hard to beat the Benromach 10 for the price, it's a crowd-pleaser! That Craigellachie is fantastic as well but probably appeals to the whisky nerd a bit more than just average scotch drinkers. A...
Whats the current situation with the new AWD Sienna? Impossible to find right now?
Nice snag, bet that CS 12 is a belter! I get bottles shipped from Scotland all the time, just need to find a brand who’s willing to send them over!
Had a chance to document a barley harvest in Penhold last night, moody conditions made for a great backdrop!

One of the best whisky experiences of my life, cant recommend it enough. If you have a chance to go, absolutely do it!
Had a chance to spend 15 days in Scotland working on creative projects for a few different distilleries this past summer. The highlight was spending nearly a week on the ground with Springbank. Such...
That is insane, would love to spend some time in there!
I was there too, posted a few shots in the photography thread. Cool weekend, the cars in Montreal just driving around were insane!...
It was nuts, 340,000 people I heard. Took us anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes to get to the track from downtown. Once there it wasn't too bad but the traffic was wild.
Back from a weekend of shooting in Montreal! So many out of focus shots working on my rollers, damn these cars move quick!

Anyone going to Ardbeg Day tomorrow at Hayden Block?

Grabbed the Benromach 21 there yesterday, wish it was a little higher abv but it was one of my favorite whiskies last year, tasty stuff!
Love that DW17, unfortunately discontinued now, lovely dram!
Come grab some samples sometime Matt, happy to share!
I do, going to crack it in the next week or so here and see what the fuss is about. They also sent a couple cool cage bottles too, a 15yr single cask at 57% and a Society Exclusive sherry bomb... so...
Usually I do yes! I had to send back the Bowmore Arc52 and Gordon and MacPhail 80yr though, although they did send me samples to try
Thanks buddy, pretty exciting project to be a part of, love getting a chance to work with Springbank!
A few of the images we shot for them...
Let me know if you have any questions, I can do my best to help out. Have been working direct with the distilleries, with marketing teams, distributors, and agencies, happy to help where I can.
I started a creative agency a few years back specializing in creating media assets for whisky distilleries. https://www.frombarreltobottle.ca/
Yes haha but cheaper than purchasing on secondary for the lucky few who'll have a chance to buy direct.
Working on a cool project for Springbank right now, pretty exciting release dropping from them in the next few days here, worth keeping an eye out....
Pricey bottle but it's a throwback to an older style Bowmore, coming in at a respectable 51.5%. These releases were created in collaboration with Aston Martin. The 21 is fantastic but the 22 is...
I've actually bought some meat from the white van in the past and truthfully it was really good. Shrimp, New York Steaks, Salmon was all really nice, pricey though! Their Ginger Beef was fantastic,...
Anyone sip anything that stood out this Christmas? I was into the Kensington Wine Market 21yr Single Cask Glenfarclas that was excellent! Cracked an older Glenfiddich too but it wasn't that...
Ah forgot about the Naked Grouse-Naked Malt rebrand, still for like $45 it punches well above its weight. The GA 10 isn't really a Sherry Bomb but loads of sherry character with both Pedro Ximénez...
If you're looking for some solid Sherry Cask options, take a look at The Glenallachie 10 or 15, Tamdhu 15 or Batch Strength, The Aberlour a'bunadh, Naked Grouse for a fantastic budget friendly...
Springbank is a really interesting distillery. Not only are they independently owned, they are also committed to keeping 100% of the whisky making process on site, including malting all of their own...
Nice man! Getting harder and harder to find too. Spent some time in Campbeltown at Springbank this summer, best Distillery in Scotland IMO, don't sleep on Glen Scotia either, tasty stuff especially...
Killer shots man, love the details!
The A1 is pretty overkill for pretty much everything but super fast action sports. I've been using my A7iV for most of my commercial shoots these days, it's super capable at a fraction of the cost.
Basically my 850 was coming to the end of its life and I needed to move onto something... At the time I was switching Nikon didn't have a replacement for it really, the only option was moving to a...
Benromach is killing it these days, the 10 is outstanding value (Costco sells it for dirt cheap). The 21 was one of my favorite drams of the year, looking for a replacement bottle now.
Some randoms from the past little while... Made the switch to Sony from Nikon and still feel like I'm working all the kinks out....
msommers
I was out of town but I have one of the bottles, it's really solid stuff. Come for a taste sometime!
Kensington Wine Market is pouring samples of a pretty incredible 29year old Glenfarclas single cask tomorrow between 1-5. Pricy bottle but well worth a taste if you’re in the area, 29 yr old cask...
