Black and White darkroom requires a film camera. The rest don't.
most people that take the SAIT classes are really happy with them.
I would think that the SAIT classes give you a bit of headstart instead of self teaching.

I recommend using a lens hood all the time. I've gotten lens flair from shooting under a full moon. As well you can get somewhat washed out looking pics with low contrast without one.

I've tried all the pinhole caps and slit caps at the camera store.
I find the lazer drilled pinholes are actually too large and don't seem to create as pleasing an effect as a smaller hole punched...
no motorcycles... that sucks cause I'm a Rogers customer.

distortion on any 18-200 is bad.
but it's a tourist lens so most wouldn't care.
i'd suggest the 28-135 it will give you a greater range for photography.
