thanks for the reply, the instructions for the hardwire kit i.e. 12v to 5v cable it came with instructs you to wire straight into the mirror wires. Wasn't to sure about that.

Just received mine, anyone here hardwire to their rear view mirror? I was looking to wire into the homelink/rear view mirror. Can you trim down the 12v to 5v hardwire and also do you need a fuse...
