At least that gives a decent window. I'm just wondering when I'll be getting vaccinated, as I just (finally) started that frontline position on Wednesday. It would be nice to get it sooner rather...
Thank you! Good to know. That certainly makes it hard to know what to do then--give as many essential workers as possible their first shot and hope for the best, or give the "most essential" workers...
It seems like the best thing to do is keep enough for the first shot victims to be able to get the second.
Do you know if there is any discussion about what happens if the second shot isn't given...
They likely have isolation protocols in place. So, if a frontline worker is presenting symptoms or is a confirmed case, they would have to wait until they're over it, since they can't work anyway....
Apart from the hypocrisy, which is endemic in politics, he should resign simply because he lacks the wisdom to know better than to post about vacation on social media.
Exactly. I'll pay someone $5 to do it. Why wouldn't such a person not just get exposed to the virus and build anti-bodies? It makes any argument about the concerns of vaccines rather moot.
Optimism bias at its best. The problem is, no one can say with any certainty how the virus will affect them, even those who think they are the epitome of health.
Correlation does not equal causation. I read an article a week or so ago that talked about 5 or 6 people who all developed Bells Palsy after receiving the vaccine, but they all recovered within a few...
And good portions. ha ha
Yeah, I missed my chance to try it 12 years ago or so in Houston. I thought if I did, my wife is going to have to deal with repatriating my body. Went to all-you-can-eat at Fogo de Chao instead. lol
Never heard of these before.

Same. Flapper pie is a horrible name but it sure looks good. It must be a Sask thing, as they seem to have a penchant for giving something good such a horrible name (like bunnyhug).
Just spent two and half hours helping neighbours get in and out of our townhouse complex--a Sentra, a Corolla, and a Golf. :banghead:

Exactly. Clearly the author lacks basic knowledge of tech, among other things.
Avoid the vaccines at all costs; it's actually a conspiracy:
"What if I told you that Bill Gates not only holds patents for various injectable nanotechnology that can monitor your vital signs but...
That is interesting. I have read of most of those lingering symptoms in various news articles and anecdotal reports that have come out over the past several months. And still so many on FB argue only...
For sure. Especially in winter when we know we can't get the vitamin d we need. I pay anywhere from $14-$16 for 500, 1000 IU softgels, depending on the sale. Crazy cheap for something that has great...
Thanks, I will look into it.
For...disinfecting, as opposed to regular hand sanitizer? When I interviewed last week, they said since they began in April, they have not had any staff get the virus, so I am not too concerned....
That's where I got the link to the article I posted, but I didn't watch the whole video. I've upped my D to 2000 IU in winter for a number of years. Whether that has played a part in not even having...
I know there has been some talk of vitamin D and its usefulness against COVID, so if this article has been posted already, I apologize:
"We are consequently reliant on data which are imperfect in...
Not sure if this has been posted in any of the COVID threads, but it offers an interesting perspective on why the rush on these vaccines isn't necessarily a bad thing:

I don't know these things, which is why I ask. I blame journalists for a lack of precision in their writing:

Yes, there is that. Lol It was he who jumped on a meme I shared, by a black guy, that said, "How privileged is your life where wearing a mask is the most oppressed you've felt?" Maybe my friend...
Isn't it something like 80% of the elderly deaths are those in nursing homes? What do you think the level of care is in those homes as compared to a hospital where all the age groups below 60 go for...
That was in this year's flu shot, which is why they pushed it so much. Make people fear the COVID vaccine so that they will be accepting of the flu one.
I've seen a bit more posting on FB about the supposedly high false positives of the antigen rapid tests. It seems as though people are thinking since there so many false positives, there aren't...

Not like most of us needed another reason to avoid the virus, but it just goes to show that we are far from knowing all the potential long-term outcomes for those who get it.

Crap. I'm usually good at checking the dates. It was shared on FB and made it sound like this just happened. My bad on that but it just fits so well with taking away guns and talk of this Great...

Ah. So it's just my inability to read. Good to know. If Calgary is that much below the provincial numbers, I wonder where the larger numbers are coming from.
Getting groceries is the one...
9.3%, isn’t it? 1566 pos/16793 tests=0.093. Unless positivity rate is something else.
I mentioned the Rockyview one a "few" pages back. These people should be fined $5-10K plus that much for each person they spread it to. I heard about Tom Baker. Hopefully everything is settled down...
Great show. David Tennant is a fantastic actor and the UK puts out the best in crime drama. Look into Hinterland, Wallander, and Endeavour. There are others but I cancelled Netflix, so I’m not sure...
In the very least, province should make an example of them. If there ever was a situation in which to show that they’re actually serious about preventing spread, this would be it.
