the underglow is fine when the car is off but I cruise around with friends and would like to have them on.

the underglow I think is 12 amps but not really sure. and the fuse is cool for about 30 seconds then it pops but it only does it when the car is running, its fine when the car is off.

I know where the gromet is under the hood but its soo wrapped tight with wire tape and am afraid to cut it or probe it. don't wanna slice through any wires.

that wasn't the wire that fried, it was the wire that came with the lights, I had enough left over to use on the switch and fuse, could I use the speaker wire instead?

where can I get the wire at?

I'm using wire commonly used for speakers for extension, the wires the lights came with r too short to reach under the hood so I got speaker wire which is twice the size as the wire on the lights

Just the wires from the fuse to the switch fried. The fuse is fine as is everything else.
