Eventually both are planned but it's like a few years out. Will depend on demand.
As a member, you also get at least one high performance driving school per year. And free entry to members time attack, auto cross, and race events. So, even more value.
Not necessarily. Think of member dues like condo fees. They can stay static depending on things like reserve funds. They may go up, but likely won’t be linked to as inflation as much as regular daily...
The availability of your days will be guarantee in the purchase contract. Every member type will be guaranteed a certain number of weekends and weekdays in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The details...
So just to compare the situations:
1. Scenario 1 - Pay the walk-on rate
7 days a year over a 10 year period:
Lets say a day costs $275 to start (just an example, we haven't determined the...
Of course, there will be plenty of access to non-members. Open lapping, driving schools, club rentals, competitive events put on by other clubs, etc.
No. But there could be some discounts before. :)
Technically with a $12500 membership you could get in 16 free track days from May 1st to Aug 31st, so yeah about one per week.
To answer the question above:
We didn't get into the details of the resort aspect at the presentation, because the focus was in memberships.
Since 2015, we have had tremendous support from the...
My apologies for the long absence from the last update.
The major reason is we don't have much to update. Everything we need to do to proceed has been completed on our part. But we are dealing...
Yes,
However, the way developments (or anything really, like a manufacturer introducing a new car) are usually done is they actually start developing it and confirming it can get built before...
That is the target, as well as having financing packages available so they are even more affordable and way cheaper in the long run than doing pay per session events through groups that rent out the...
We are hoping for mid to late spring for memberships, but there are still issues beyond our control that affect the timeline.
Posted this on Facebook last week:

Since May we have a had a team of over 30 civil engineers, geotechnical engineers,...
The Lotus uses the tranny out of a FWD Celica GTS. It wasn't designed for a RWD mid engine application, and then launching it at 5000rpm with a clutch drop on Hoosiers is just way out of what the...
The purpose of these Town Hall presentations, which are a requirement of Bylaw change applications, are supposed to be to get the facts to the public affected by the bylaw change in the county. Not...
No plans for membership sales until we actually have started construction and are 100% certain what the end product will be. Not wanting to take anyones money until we actually have something...
At Badlands it's not just about allowing bikes, but making sure from the outset the tracks are safe and accomodating for bikes as its expected they would be a high percentage of the users.
I'm pretty sure this exact info was posted here in the Badlands thread but that has gotten so long I can't find it there:

The FAQ...
We have discussed a form of drag racing.

Not much comments there but if you follow the facebook link there is also a...
Also, we certainly would be hosting events, and the spectator areas would more than sufficient capacity and allow great views off both tracks, but it would be incorporated into the architecture to...
Badlands will be a semi-private facility. At least one track would be rented out per day. If you are going to do multiple days per year regularly, it actually will be cheaper in the long run to be a...
This couldn't be farther from the truth, with regards to Badlands. This has been discussed so many times on many places, but the whole concept behind the Badlands is to make motorsports affordable,...
None of this is surprising when you look at their noise impact assessment for the road course. Airdrie is not the issue (for now) but their Lmax at the surrounding farmhouses was 68, which is going...
Badlands is 3 miles from Rosebud and our North Course is 100 feet higher than Rosebud, and the Valley Course is completely protected by the coulee walls. Rosebud is not an issue. Issue is that you...
This is something we have come up with for those with an interest in Drag Racing. It's like Pro-Solo autocross on a much grander scale:
As we tweak the final design, a Third track layout has been...
It is going forward.
With the critical_re-zoning Bylaw for our project to proceed passed into law in January, we are actively finalizing all the specific design details of the project that will be built.

We have just...
Today at the regular meeting of the Kneehill County Council, the Badlands Motorsport Resort Land Use Bylaw # 1657 received third and final reading and was passed._

Our land is now rezoned to...
The ACR is an amazing production car. I don't think anything will touch it bone stock on most tracks. No car comes with better aero, R-compound tires, and adjustable coilovers from the factory.

The times are in the link I provided but you need to log in to the cscc forum to download the PDFs. They list it as 77.7 seconds.
I did here from DH who confirmed that Greg's record time is...
I have heard that GP made the track record at RCMP in 2011, but I don't think that is correct.
On the Viper forums he states he ran a 1:18.4 in 2011 and a 1:19.5 in 2010. Not sure if those where...
This is pure speculation not based in any fact. We haven't released or discussed any financial goals.
I don't want to turn this into a negative RMP thread. In fact I hope they succeed and I would...
Firstly, I would say that the way any typical development project goes is that the developer has the take a project far enough along that it is going to go forward (this would usually be to the...
Today after the public hearing, we are happy to announce that the second reading for the rezoning bylaw passed.
The 3rd and final reading will likely be after Jan 1st due to the Xmas break.
Best case scenario would be about 7-8 months to get the Development Permits, construction starting 3rd quarter 2014, and at least one of the tracks opening 3rd quarter 2015.
Here's an update finally :)
A Public Hearing regarding the Badlands Motorsports Resorts' application for a redesignation of the project lands from the current “A” Agriculture designation to “DCD”...
This is mostly correct.
Although the approval process is somewhat complex. To get land rezoned for a project like this, we applied for our Area Structure Plan to be adopted as a land use Bylaw...
Yes, council passed the Area Structure Plan final reading this morning and now the Badlands Motorsport Resort is an approved Bylaw in the county of Kneehill.
