I think it's only the 30XX series that have the memory heating issues, due to the high memory speeds. I know the 3080 has similar issues, and I monitor it specifically to stay under 90*.
Just talk to Swak. It might mean a trip up to Edmonton, but I bet he'll still hook you up.
lmao, low intensity, but not "heavy weightlifting". Are they going to setup PF style lunk alarms?
Also, good to see jutes still shitposting in this thread. It's hard to tell, since he's one of the...
When I had the 1080 in my current gaming rig, it would black screen after around 30 mins of mining. And I hadn't really mined before that. It also doesn't like CPU mining, and I'm not even getting...
That's a mirror of my old i7-2600 setup. Same mobo, similar PSU, identical card.
I have my wife's old cpu/mobo/ram lying around. Tempted to buy a case/psu, slap a cheap/spare HDD in there and get...
I knoiw GYMVMT is on the fence, and haven't prepped to reopen. I would be surprised if we get moved to Step 2, since the cases are going up again.
This thread inspired me to get my racing rig setup again, and it ended in nothing but frustration. It doesn't fit well between my wall/computer desk, so I figured I'd run steam-link on a Raspberry Pi...
Do you need a hug, friend? I feel like you need a hug. Bring it in.
I just added those fees to my calculations. I'm working under $0.15/kwh price assumption with all the extra fees added in.

Poked my sales guy, got a VIN and a build date of Feb 10th. Asked for a delivery date estimate. There's no way to track this online right?
Ordered another Pi4, since it was a decent deal.

Good for docker. Might be able to migrate some stuff off my...
What card are you running that on?
RVN makes my card run way hotter.
I'm about 56* with T-rex on ETH (95MH/s)
60* on Daggerhashimoto/Excavator with NH (95MH/s)
65* on Kapow with RVN (45MH/s)
All identical OC profiles (-502 core,...
TD was something like $1500 cheaper than Aviva on home insurance. I saved like 40% off my insurance by moving everything over, otherwise I'd have happily stuck with a broker.
NH payouts way down today, since ETH is down like $800, so I swapped back to ETH mining directly. Aiming for the 0.1 payout.
S2000, Classic Mini. Both fun going slow. Much slower in the mini. That thing is fun under the speed limit.
Good to know. All my wife's computer purchases at memex are under my name anyways, so I'd hate to have to drag her along just to pick up a card.
I'm heavy into ADA, but no opinions yet on the hard fork. We'll see how it plays out.
I also wish I had more nano in my wallet for the banano airdrop, but most of it was sitting in Binance at the...
I hope that doesn't hamper me. I picked up my EVGA 3080 in Jan, and I'm on the list for another one. It's supposed to go into the wife's computer, as she's using my old 1080(non ti) right now.
Coinbase is a little more beginner friendly, and doesn't support all cryptos.
Binance is a larger exchange but supports pretty much all coins.
Coinbase is US based, Binance is China based.

That's a lot of fuckin fans.
My case is still from like.. 2012, so I still have 1/3 of the case taken by the HDD storage, but I'm also still running platter in my machine.
I don't think it is.. yet. Also very difficult to regulate something decentralized.
Sold some of my GME to cover my initial buy in. The rest of what I'm holding is pretty much free. Got out of AMC after I was up a bit.
SEC doesn't manage Crypto.... Does it?
I have similar issues with this with IM at work. Even the "ettiquette guide" from slack, is like "don't open with hi".
Don't message me hi and wait for my answer. Maybe it's less polite, but just...
Congrats! I'm currently running 2 minecraft servers.
This. If I could remove voicemails from my plan, I would. Send me a text. It's 1000 times worse if your voicemail is "Hi, it's _relative_, call me back."
I really only see a point for recruiters/job...
Watching the after hours numbers is insane. I've seen it hit 180 at least once.
AMC was doing similar things, but it seems to have calmed down.
I mean, if we're throwing that out, I can offer referrals for coinbase and binance
Yeah, I'm mining on hardware I was going to own anyways. The 1070 is in my plex machine, and the 3080 is my gaming rig. If I wasn't mining, I'd still own the cards, they'd just be idle.
I mean, I've mined myself into $500 worth of crypto so far, and have only spend an extra $30 on electricity, so it's working to my benefit so far. Even with a correction, I'm fine with it.
Right, only ASIC has been profitable since 2015, but I had people dissuading me from doing mining since back in 2010. My point is that I'd rather learn the mistake myself.
I've heard nothing but "Bitcoin isn't worth mining" since 2010. At this point, I've had enough FOMO that I might just continue to mine, even if BTC prices drop. I mean, with Nicehash, you're mining...
Based on the condition, I wouldn't be surprised if someone paid that. I'd cap out at $500 personally.
I use MyQ, but only because it's built into my garage door opener, so the opener itself is reporting open/closed.
I tried. I called something like 120 times in a day, and gave up.
5yr 5.99c/kwh fixed electricty.
Floating gas.
Expires May 2024.
It's weird. I get a much lower hashrate with Kapow (45 vs 90), and my card runs like 5*C hotter (65 vs 60)
