A scumbag and a motherfucker.
I guess coaching wasn't the issue last year. It's baffling why they would consider offering long-term contracts to Lindholm and Hanifin.
Looking forward to seeing Backlund hoist the Cup! :burnout:
You're more pissy than Drai. LOL
Flames off-seasons are way more entertaining than their in-seasons.
Congrats to Brad Treliving and his family! Maybe this summer he'll finally be able to enjoy a vacation.
Also, thanks for leaving a couple of anchor contracts for the new GM to deal with. LOL
Hahaha the volatility of the Calgary Flames. Good one year, bad the next, good again, then suck again. It's trending to be a decent year next year it seems. Hopefully luck out in the lottery and...
Will Nault is terrible. Glad he's quitting.
Writing was on the wall with this station after all the turnover and especially after the departure of Boomer and the boys.
From a disaster of an off-season to righting the ship pretty quickly is nothing short of a miracle. Credit where credit is due to Treliving for salvaging this season and for the future.
This is honestly high way robbery. Glad Treliving did the robbing. Still have cap space to improve the roster.
Maybe this travesty of an off-season serves as a wake-up call for CSEC to pony up and get the arena built before more players leave and the fanbase lose their patience.
CSEC can start a GoFundMe....
Not surprised. It is at least handled a lot better than the Gaudreau situation. Again, if only both would've made their intentions know before the draft, it would have been a lot easier to swallow.
I'm over the Johnny departure at this point. I fully respect his wanting to put family before hockey, but he went about it the wrong way. This decision could have been made more than a month ago and...
Johnny's Letter to Calgary:

If we could go back in time to two weeks ago, I would have preferred Johnny over Chucky. Sure, they both had terrific seasons, but I think that's mainly due to Sutter, whom I trust more. Rebuilding...
Wife definitely starting to look like the Yoko Ono of this whole ordeal.
If that story about Edwards getting involved is true, then I don't really put much blame on the Flames except for being too...
Hahaha I could get behind a rumour like this. He likely has some skeletons in the closet he needs to distance himself from.
I think the Flames bridge was burned when he strung them along. Treliving should've known and planned for this and agree with setting a hard deadline well before July 12th. A debacle of monumental...
It really doesn't matter about the taxes... he left more than $15M on the table to play on a shittier team. At least NJ has potential and closer to home.
A) I can appreciate the fact he wanted to...
That's an insane offer for Gaudreau! Columbus doesn't look like they'll be winning anytime soon, so this signing will actually set the team back. Definitely a head-scratcher.
Also, Johnny is...
This one stings. So pissed that Johnny strung them along until the 11th hour. F that guy.
As for tanking... gonna be hard to out-suck Chicago and Arizona at this point with so little time before the...
Playoff Predictions:
EAST
(A1) Florida Panthers vs. (WC2) Washington Capitals - Florida Panthers in 5
(M1) Carolina Hurricanes vs. (WC1) Boston Bruins - Boston Bruins in 7
(A2) Toronto Maple...
Tyler Toffoli for 2022 1st + 2023 5th + Emil Heineman + Tyler Pitlick
Nice acquisition cost without having to give up a roster player or high prospect.
Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet on sale at the moment. It has a Full HD (1920x1200) display, so pretty good.
32GB for $155
64GB for $195
Got the 64GB for my son which he uses to play Minecraft on. Can...
Yeah, what an effed up schedule. Flames played as much road games as Islanders only because they were waiting for their building to finish.
They should not let Benning make anymore trades. Hahaha
Flames first in the West and it's almost American Thanksgiving. Looking very promising!
How does this benefit either team?
Calgary - Not tanking and cannot afford to lose their top point-getter. Eichel likely won't play until next season.
Buffalo - Wants to tank now and get a...
This trade proposal is actually a lose-lose for both teams.
Turns out the Flames just needed fresh American air to actually play well.
I LOLed at the following quote from one of the Ward 2 candidate...

I didn't think anyone could be worse than Chiarelli, but Ken Holland, please sign this ASAP!:rofl:
A couple of problems with trading Gio this past trade deadline.
1) He still has one more year with a 6.75 cap hit. Not a lot of contending teams would be able to absorb that hit for next year
2)...
Frees up cap space to go after Eichel. ;)
Prediction: Tarasenko (no salary retained) to Edmonton for Puljujarvi + Conditional 2nd. Hahaha
Looking at the available players list... Seattle has so many good players to choose from. GM Ron...
I have two furnaces (main+basement and top floor). I had wanted only one AC unit for the upstairs.
Asked around and was told that they don't recommend having just one for top floor because the unit...
Did you guys hear Kevin Bieksa on the panel asking why Anaheim would let Shea Theodore go and then started chuckling to himself. No one else on the panel reacted, but I thought that was hilarious!...
Agreed! Terrible and dirty hit. Scheifele isn't not even looking at the puck nor extending his stick to try and prevent the goal. Just lowered his shoulder and eyes fixated on nailing Evans.

Goalie Interference is the biggest call the ref and Toronto gets to make and probably the most inconsistent.
I agree though, it is goalie interference based on the rules regardless if a...
If the Flames can, they should follow the Islanders model. Not having one or two expensive superstar and just spreading the cap hit and offense throughout the lineup. Play a more structured and tight...
Looking forward to it. Haven't seen an AHL game in a long time.
