Smart money - same thing as may/june - pull back soon... which is a good place to add more.

How is the crypto community in Calgary (if any)? I only got into this a few months ago and I'm surprised this thread isn't that active. Loading up on NEO a while ago (before the rebrand) was probably the best decision I made this year.

Which exchange did you use for neo? I wanted to pick some up on Monday but it's not available on the more well known exchanges that I use. Wasn't sure if bitrexx was reputable or not

Quadriga to get BTC/LTC/ETH then transfer to an exchange that supports NEO like Bittrex or Binance.

Yah, kinda annoyed I don't hold any of that, Been holding stratis, just recently got rid of most of it... It did well for me, will rebuy when lower, but the FOMO for Bitcoin is just so large now, hard for ALT's to compete..

Bittrex is def reputable and works pretty well. I think a lot of people have switched from Polo to Bittrex since Polo was very slow, freezing/fucking up all the time..
    I'm mostly using Bittrex...

Mining bitcoin by hand. It would be a heck of a lot easier if humans had 16 fingers.

For you cryptocurrency holders, how have your gains materialized for you in real life?

Surely some Beyonders must have cashed out big and went on a spending spree by now haha.

I would be curious as to how people are cashing out their earnings and doing the tax for that. Eg. Cashing it out via an exchange (Quadriga) vs spending it on a crypto credit card. Even with the credit cards your name is registered, so does each transaction back to fiat count as a taxable event? This gets complicated very fast...

Ethereum difficulty has jumped again so it is real slow with my main rig only making like 0.15eth/month. Oh well.

In 2014 I rode the alt coin explosion and turned 2k into a JDM evo, so pretty happy with that. Otherwise ups and downs since then. Probably up a few grand since then.

I'm kicking myself for not mining on my 1070 since its been sitting forever but too late now.

I'm curious where things are headed. Eth seems the most stable, BTC is going weird places with the 2X part of segwit falling apart. BCH is unstable due to the EDA constantly dropping the difficulty, causing an influx in miners, then going back to a block an hour. BCH has already mined so many blocks its way ahead of schedule for the next halving which is scary though.

Yeah, I had spare parts sitting forever before I decided in may to start trying it out. I did notice as well that my 2x 970 have a lower hash rate now. Was around 35 iirc and is now 29. Not sure if I can fix that. My 1080ti though does 33 consistently. Might switch to z-cash when it gets harder. Will probably change my main rig to windows since linux was real hard to figure out and I do have a licence for that computer.

Nice! Was just chatting with a buddy yesterday. His colleague recently just hit the 1mil mark on ETH and has been trying to withdraw money on the exchange every week haha

Yah, I stopped mining, really glad I didn't dish out for a rig.

I'm assuming most people who were holding from early on are still holding a majority, IMO (From what I've seen/heard) - Most early BTC holders went into ALT's and it did crash super hard 50-70% soo that would of hurt (It hurt and I don't have life changing $$$ in BTC/ALT'S)

I've also prob sold a few K to beyond members seems the demand isn't really there to buy.

For crowdfunding and getting coins before they get online..
    https://www.icocountdown.com/

So much research to be done but so much money to be made in them it's insane just need to be motivated to research which I am not.

Google search coin research it, see if it's good or not, I'm sure there will be many new ones, follow Crypto channels on twitter? (I really need to get on Twitter!)

I get a daily e-mail from Cryptocompare.com it's pretty interesting to read I'd highly recommend subbing to it..

Pheoxs prob follows it a lot more than I do..

Edit: https://www.coindesk.com/ is really good for news as well..

Not gonna go through the whole thread because I really couldn't care less about bitcoins. But, in case it isn't posted, I thought you guys might find this interesting:

This is an old post, but couldn't help and think of it when I saw bitcoins current price. ($7175)

That's over $50million(CAD) sitting in a landfill, lol.
