Calgary Parking authority has several indoor bike cages for $10/month located all over downtown. I used to park my bike in one of their cages and never had an issue, some even have video surveillance.

I tried to sign up for one, but I am on a wait list. When the wait lists are as long as the spots available, that doesn't give me much hope. Unless people give up the spots during winter.

Thanks for the confirmation. Doesn't surprise me they're falling behind on their timeline. I guess I'll hold off on trying to ride into work again a little longer.

...and still closed this morning. Ran the North Side this morning from Shouldice Pool. I'll keep y'all updated. Pass through there daily.

I ride everyday from Westsprings. You’re a bit south of me but I take residential roads through coach hill and come out at Sarcee/bow trail. From there I take the road down to the river and ride the pathways into the core.
A lot of ppl take spruce drive and take the switch backs behind shag golf course or ride to Westbrook mall and cross over on that red bridge across bow trail. I’ve ridden all 3 but prefer to minimize my time on roads since I don’t trust drivers.
All 3 will work and I’ve never had an incident.

Anybody ride south side of the river on way home today (downtown to edworthy)? It was blocked at the train track crossing and again by edworthy. Easy to get around but wondering if anybody knew what was up?

It gets blocked off every year because of ice along that stretch. The City closed it for the year.

    Was it icy in there?
Several studies have investigated the relationship between intelligence and the degree of religious belief (excluding humanism), with most showing an inverse correlation between intelligence averages and the "importance of religion" to the testee.

Gotcha. Guess last year I biked the north side since it was always cleared.

The one part where there is a ton of ruts and cracks is competely iced over. I had to slow down bc the guy in front of me bailed flat on his back this morning. Then I slowed down asked him if he was okay then wiped too. Haha.

It says closed but you can still walk/ride it...It's just not maintained but I see a fair number of people using it. I rode that huge ice piece many times last winter on the ice spiker pros and the dillinger 5's

Looks like they're almost ready to re-open the North Side river pathway. Most of the construction equipment is gone, and they're cleaning up the section before Crowchild bridge.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up! One month later than they said it'd be done....

I saw the guy on the e-unicycle today. Didn't get that good of a look. I should have rode with him for a bit.
