Bring up a used Acura TSX wagon from the states.
If our dollar wasn't so shit, I'd totally be doing that, and then an engine swap.

I don't know what it is but I find wagons absolutely ugly. I have yet to see a wagon that has appealed to me cosmetically and this includes the AMG one. I can certainly see the practicality of having fun and I would for sure own before I ever buy a freaking minivan but it would definitely be my bottom choice. That being said, I wasn't a fan of hatchbacks initially either and over the years I seem to have grown to like them, so perhaps it will change over time. Although, I just don't seen it happening. I would much rather do a SUV if you need something practical instead of a wagon or a minivan and if practicality isn't a big concern then there are such gorgeous sedans and coupes out there that would get my $ first. Perhaps the majority of the NA market feels this way about wagons, which is why manufacturers keep discontinuing them for our market?

No they don't. They just lift them a couple of inches and call them crossovers.

Saw a gorgeous v70r at Safeway today, brown leather interior and minty shape, if I could have fou;d one it would have been my second choice after my forester xt
I wanted a V70R for ages but they definitely have reliability issues. Whisper "angle gear" near a V70R owner and watch them gently perspire.

Can't blame BMW. It is what their customers are buying.
I do remember when the X6 came out and everyone thought it was ugly then. Now ever car manufacturer has a coupe SAV.

They are also over-rated for HP. I think the conclusion was that they only make the advertised HP at 3 degrees celsius.

An SUV isn't any more practical than a wagon. It's just a lifted wagon. I know this from experience because I have 2 wagons. An E63 and an Expedition. They both have 5 doors, same number of windows and an open trunk area. Same Same.

I absolutely hate those as well (X6, GLE coupe, etc.) but apparently I am in the minority because I see them everywhere.

And yeah I've never understood the wagon hate when the difference between a wagon and a SUV is usually a 2-3" lift and that's about it.

    ^Agreed.

Hate the X6 and everything that looks like it. They are so polarizing, I think either you love them or you hate them. Much like the G wagon...which I absolutely love.

Lol. That was more like a box. Wagons are longer and curvy at the end and that's what I don't like.

In North America, wagon and hatchback are the same thing.

    B8 - The shitty one
    B8.5 - Better, addressed issues
B9 (current) - no notable issues

The Allroad has been part of the A4 line for a while now rather than it's own line. They are as reliable as a modern A4 which is totally fine.

We've got a B9 and my sister has a B8.5 and both were bought new. No issues from ours, other than the need to switch the windshield wipers out. Sister has only done regular maintenance on hers so far(4-5 years old). I would easily recommend either one.

Audi has a few different ones.. A4, Allroad, A6.. As does VW
Was looking into this, I think they only sell the Allroad these days in Canada, which is A4 based according to posters above. Nice option though. We shall see if the A6 avant ever shows up. That's pretty sweet.
