    Default Ticket Reduction

    Hey Beyonders,

Anyone get a traffic ticket recently and don't have the time to go downtown, pay for parking, wait in line, etc? I figure if I'm there anyway I might as well take care of a few of them...so for the first 5 beyonders to send me their tickets I'll plead with the Justice of the Peace for a reduction (usually something like 40% if I recall) on your behalf. No crazy pink tickets or anything! Just your run of the mill speeding under 50km/h, stop sign, running red, etc.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll PM you for the details

Damnit - a few days too late... I got a ticket but just paid it since I don't have the time to go down and fight it!

    +1 for good Beyonder!

Bump! Helped a couple Beyonders out last time...taking care of a ticket for my brother in a couple weeks. If anyone has a multinova, speed on green or red light camera ticket (registered owner tickets) all I need is a picture and I'll get it reduced for you. Might be able to help for non-registered owner tickets as well, depending on when the first appearance date is.

If you go down to the courthouse and ask for a reduction they'll usually give you in the range of 25-40% off your ticket. Those guys are offering 10-15% off so they're making 10-30% of the ticket amount...I'm offering to do it for free since I'm down there anyway

Do you reduce it to a no conviction/demerits?

Often they will offer to remove the demerits in exchange for paying the full fine. Can't promise it but can definitely ask for that if the demerits are more important than the fine.

Do you usually go before the court date or on the day of court ?

I got one out in Banff and have to be in Canmore court .♂️

@01RedDX Thanks man! Happy to help out.
@KPHMPH I usually enter the ticket number at https://eservices.alberta.ca/fine-payments.html to make sure it's in the system, and once it is you can go down any time. The registered owner tickets (red light/speed on green camera) tend to be in there pretty quick, but if you were actually pulled over I find those ones can sometimes not be in the system until a few days before the court date. Disclaimer though: all my experience is at Calgary Court...I assume it's similar for Canmore but can't promise! Good luck

Enjoyed saving a few Beyonders some money last time around…so much so I’m considering turning this into a little side business. I'd like to become a paid sponsor but first I want to see if there’s a big enough market to justify the advertising costs. So for now, FREE ticket reductions! (mods let me know if this is breaking any rules – I’ll definitely become a sponsor if I start charging for the service).

Step 1: Post in this thread saying you’re interested
Step 2: I’ll PM you my email so you can send me a picture of your ticket
Step 3: ???? (basically just me waiting in lines at the courthouse)
Step 4: Profit - Usually minimum 20-25% reduction on the fine.

This is a genius idea! I went and fought a ticket about 2 months ago and it was such a fucking hassle with parking and waiting for the jp. They reduced $100 but i wasted $15 in parking and pretty much my afternoon

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

Another tip of the hat to @JoniBoy , great guy to interact with and most importantly he saved my wife some cash! Almost makes me want to get my own speeding ticket haha.
