    Default Micro USB to HDMI...where?

Maybe my googling skills come up short, but I want to connect my Samsung S10 to HDMI on my camp TV, due to really shitty channels and shortage of anything on since I work nights.

Where is the best place to find one?

    Try MemX

You might need to get the USB to hDMI hub; USB to micro USB adapter.

Or ask if they have the Samsung version.

Doesn’t the S10 use USB c and not micro? If USB c, get this:

USB C to HDMI Adapter (4K@60Hz), CHOETECH USB 3.1 Type C (Thunderbolt 3 Compatible) to HDMI Adapter Compatible with MacBook Pro 2019/2018, iMac, Samsung Galaxy S10/S9/Note 10/9/8, Surface Book 2,etc https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01M6C49X2/..._qf2DEbC22SBRQ

If usb C, get a "hub" or "dock" and it'll charge your Phone while the movies play as well.

You guys are probably right that it's a USB-c. I'll take a look at those. Anything I should look for anywhere else online?

I'm not sure what your TV habits are but I would get a dedicated device to plug into the TV. TV for me is usually a background thing while I play on my phone.

    Smaller options would include:
1 - Chromecast (if the wifi setup allows)
2 - Cheap android box (the UI would be shitty but depending on what you are watching it could be set & forget)
3 - Chromebook w/ adapter (some have HDMI native)

If you are interested in #2 I have one I would let go for ~$40?

2nd or 3rd for Chromecast as long as you can join it on your wifi network.

I've never used a chromecast and dont actually know what it does or how to use it. I thought about an android box, but mine at home rarely works, I dont want to fuck around with another one that wont work.

A chromecast will allow to cast your screen to the tv. Works for most media apps. They don't work on wifi networks that have a web browser login like most hotels though.

Ya that would work well for camp for sure. I'll take a look into it, thanks.

Your phone and device need to be on the same wifi network and make sure you can add device to that network on your own at the camp and that there is no special authentication of any type (Like hotel wifi).

Picked up a chromecast today, tested it out at home, works great. Are there any apps for movies for free I could try using on it?

It works great with netflix and YouTube but what else?

So I've downloaded a movie app and Shaw BlueCurve and for the life of me, I cant get screen mirroring through the chromecast. Is there anything I'm missing?

Unfortunately you can't cast the shaw bluecurve app because they dont want you to 'share' your account and casting makes it easier

    Not every app support Chromecast.

When it doesn't, you have fall back your phone's screen mirror function it chrome browser.

So I can only use a site to screen mirror, unless the app has casting?

Correct. I believe with the shaw app, it would also detect if you had hard wired your phone into a TV putting even more restrictions on how you can watch it.
Seems like the only ways to have BlueCurve on TV are to use a cable box or dedicated PC
