The issues are way more complex than the rhetoric being presented. The most important thing in all this is, nobody can criticize beyond for not having a well balanced moderation team.

What's happening here is we can't trust what anybody writes these days regardless if they're left or right leaning. Have to be your own investigative journalist to figure out what really happened.

Everyone has a narrative. Everyone has an agenda. I've stopped watching the news as much as possible these days, and my head's in a much better place. Media is just out there to incite anger, everyone is slowly gravitating towards extremism. I'll randomly investigate the big stories here and there, try not to put emotion behind it, just to understand for myself what happened. Much better for my sanity.

And thats the best takeaway here - almost 99% of what you see or hear on main stream news or SM is completely distorted for a specific narrative. Either to spread lies fear and hate - or to gain clicks.

Sorry - but once you remove the trained police members (as in, trained better than your average joe) from the streets, this is the end result.

You also have 16-25 year old, white kids, causing most of this shit.

With the arms ownership in the US, and many states having very strong self defense laws (and very young owners allowed) - this is what anyone should have expected.

If I was a criminal, I would be shitting my pants as now, trigger happy gun owners will shoot first and ask questions later. Police tend to be much more cautious on average.

It's even more depressing when people in Canada think we're like the U.S. and want to defund the police and topple statues.

Toronto demonstrators are urging for money to be taken from the police budget and redistributed into communities and other areas in need.

“The goal is to defund the police by 50 per cent, invest that money back into the community, invest that money back into other resources, and for many it’s just the first step towards abolition,” demonstrator Anil Philip said.
