So on your approved list of hustles you draw the line at flipping consoles? Thats hilarious. If I hadn't bought these consoles they'd have ended up in BC, Ontario or Quebec. No one here benefits from that.

It loads games faster. That’s about it haha. Some old games have faster frame rates. Waiting for true next gen games to really showcase what it can really do.

New controller is quite a bit better than the old one. Bumpers seem more sturdy, sticks have a bit more resistance and the textured grip is nice.
Speed though is night and day and I had been playing with an ssd in my one x. Warzone at least seems smoother. Haven't tried anything like assassins creed yet, waiting for black friday.

I mean, I get the sentiment, but if you are the kind of guy who believes in capitalism or the free market at all, this literally happens everyday with every product. If anything, be mad at the manufacturers who have purposefully created this shortage. Be mad at Sony and Microsoft for launching consoles early to get the Christmas rush, while AMD is already tapped producing not only a new processor lineup but a new GPU lineup. I'd agree he is doing customers a service if he bought all of these online, he is actively taking the risk to bring these to a specific market (Alberta) and should be rewarded for doing so if there is the demand. It is mind numbing, shit work to try and get a limited product online like this, maybe he is using bots I suppose, but it certainly takes some effort. Some guy who can barely scrape buy to afford one at MSRP, is not the kind of guy who is going to put in the work to snatch one up online anyways IMO.

Let's also have a brief moment to pull out the ol' privilege card. Growing up, like hell I was getting a $500 console for Christmas. Inflation or not, that's a fuckton of a Christmas present.

There are no next-gen games, except Valhalla and really it's a pretty meh game. Good, not great. Same with COD, like woooooh, an 80 on metacritic, super stoked to just play more FPS multiplayer.

Exactly. I've been extremely disappointed in games in general the past couple years. Where is our next "Crysis"? Played FF7 Remake recently, I hope there is a HD res pack when it comes to steam because my god, some of the texture resolutions they use on non-important objects are terrible. Game is beautiful in the first mako reactor, then rapidly drops off.

Well, finally got mine set up this morning. Not too bad. Controller is really nice.

Set-up was kind of a shitshow with the app. I put the code in that was displayed on the TV but it kept telling me it was wrong. Managed to get thru it by randomly switching between my home wifi and the xbox wifi on my phone. Account set up was easy after that.

Home screen.... I'm not a fan. Seems to be a convoluted mess.

Not sure about you guys, but I'm getting TERRIBLE download speeds. Currently downloading the MCC it has been showing 20Mb/s for the most part. Troubleshooting includes pausing downloads, restarting router, restarting console. I can randomly get to 205Mb/s before it drops out again. All other wifi devices in my home are showing faster download speeds than that. At one point it was saying it will take 9 hours to download MCC. Yikes!

For how far I've gotten, the 4K resolution looks nice.

Yah, that's what I was afraid you'd say. I thought these were suppose to utilize wifi better. It's not even reaching the speed of my phone.

Fair enough on the dashboard. I haven't fired up an Xbox since 2016 so I was unaware that its went so downhill.

It's better than Xbox One as I'm getting a higher rate 150+ and even in 200s but still not max. It will still drop down really low then pick back up again as well.

Also if you have any other apps or games open it will still slow down your speeds like last-gen.

Yah well my speeds aren't even remotely consistent. One second it's 14Mb/s and then the next it's 205Mb/s. I need a much longer Ethernet cable to go wired. I might be able to rearrange some furniture to be able to hook it up wired and test it.
