You are right on the remote down. Which is nice in itself.

You will like the truck. I am not a truck guy but I have spent a decent amount of time in a 2021 Lariat with the 502A package and a 2021 XLT with 302A (really nice for an XLT, it comes with the 12" screen among many other things) and I have really enjoyed the trucks. That 3.5EB is so nice! I think the Ram half ton drives a bit nicer but engine/transmission/tech is so much better in the F-150 imo.

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

It’s a glorious feeling. Can Google assistant or Alexa start your Ford?

    Now that’s living.

That I do not know. But I also don't really use the google assistant. Even though my house is set up with smart bulbs and speakers all over. I'm a luddite.

My 2 cents on tonneau cover:

    Tri-fold or bust.
Disagree. Went from a Tri-Fold to a BakFlip Revolver, way better. In the rolled up position at least I can see out of my rearview/back window.

Not related, but I really like that picture of your corvette.

    Almost three wheels.

But have you had it freeze in winter yet? I ditched the revolver for that reason...
Similar issue - was complete crap in winter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_Szgx4LOrY

I guess I'm a little spoiled as I have a heated garage at home so it's never frozen up on me. It does seem to allow a lot less water/dust into my bed than my tri-fold did.

Ordered mine on the 18th from Cam Clark, checked yesterday and I don't have a VIN yet.

Parking for 2 years is a risky and money losing proposition.

Yep. Once you have the VIN you can use one of the many tracking tools available, but until then you're left pestering the ol' salesguy.

Since I decided this wasn’t the right time for me, ive been watching prices closely. Trucks are crazy expensive. Compared to 2012 when I bought my last one. I got a insane deal, but the equivalent truck would be 20-25k more that’s a tough pill to swallow.
Hopefully aleks will be right and a similar deal will return. Or. The prices will drop.

Prices aren't going down. We trucks are the canary in the inflation coal mine. Or that's my opinion anyway.

If the USD doesn't pick up some steam soon, the canary will be singing. The whole reason people can afford these trucks is the resale. Without the US importers propping up our used market, we wouldn't be getting the good resale we have been enjoying on our trucks.

That's been true here, but what's propping up us sales? Maybe interest rates?

that 30% markup. They can still undercut anything already in the states, making the imported trucks more attractive with a discount over what a US native truck can offer. at least that is my thoughts.

A lot of people don't seem to realize our equivalent trucks msrp at the same price in Canada, as the US trucks do.

$40k cad truck is a $40k usd truck. We get our new trucks pretty cheap (well, definitely Fords anyways). So its actually better than the exchange rate differential for them, the trucks were already cheaper to begin with.

That's my understanding anyways. Really surprised me when I read up on it.
