Interesting, I've never know about inverse ETFs. It'd seem if you're betting on markets going to hell, a recission, etc they're one way to profit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

LNG treated me well with the 30% odd gains over the past couple weeks so I got out. New focus is RUM as I think demand will continue to grow for a youtube alternative, and their backend services are top notch. Still need to work on the app, but they take direct feedback from their top content creators so I expect it to improve.
Does everyone do energy stocks (seem oil focused) in here simply because of your exposure to the industry?

Your short term investment may become a long term investment.
A couple years isn’t that long to hold anything
Elon Musk just reconfirmed his bid to buy Twitter at the original $54.20 price

SPXS seems like a day to buy it if you wanted.
I would be very wary of leveraged ETFs with this much volatility. That thing swings the wrong way for a few days and you're royally fucked.
I do agree with the sentiment though.

The main purpose for leveraged ETFs is for trading during high periods of volatility. They're not for hodling. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yup, just keep acquiring more every time the market has these little bounces. There isn't going to be any new highs getting broken on the S&P500 any time soon. I'm just waiting for the likely inevitable drop, and then cashing out my 50-75% return. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Seems to be a common perspective on them. Yet if you look at the all time chart on any of these leveraged bull etf's, they have some pretty strong returns over the long haul. I definitely wouldn't sit in a bear etf for any prolonged period of time though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'm not an expert on this, but no.
Leveraged ETFs ... "if you look at the all time chart on ANY leveraged bull ETF"... strong returns.. over long haul...
LMAO.
I want what this guy is smoking.
Of course it's a common perspective; it's objectively correct. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
