My work moved me to permanent work from home, so I asked for a new laptop as I got tired of using RDS to RDP to my work desktop. I like big screen laptops and none of our standard laptops that we issue had anything bigger than 15, so I got to pick me own new laptop and got this beast to be my permanent replacement over VPN. Saved the company over 2gs for Lenovo Cyber days! Will get imaged at work, so ignore Windows Home

a legit 0.99% mortgage right now would be insanely better than what the people in that industry on beyond have been discussing.

I've been a consistent shopper from there and generally haven't had issues, but the past two months I've definitely had an above average amount of problems. Had three packages be "undeliverable" basically right after they departed the warehouse, one that was supposed to be shipped/sold by Amazon Canada actually ship from Amazon.com and couldn't clear customs. Also had one item actually be a nasty return from a smoker with a cat-item was sold as new.

Thanks. It looks like they will accept my 5% down on an Aspen starter home.

Shipping at CT with Triangle MasterCard, a person normally gets 4% rebate in Canadian Tire Money. That's like 4-bucks on a hundy.

Promo tomorrow gets you "30x more Canadian Tire Money"...

Obviously they are not giving (30)*($4)=$120 in CT money for every $100 spent. But how are they able to say this Marth?

Example: On a $100 (pre-tax) purchase with a 20X bonus multiplier a Member would earn a bonus $8 in CT Money (20 X .4% X $100). The 30X for Triangle Mastercard, World Mastercard and World Elite Mastercard customers consists of the 10X everyday plus a 20X bonus.
So there 30x is a 10x 0.4% which is the 4% you already get and 20X 0.4% with is extra 8%. So on a hundy, you get $12 in CT money. It's not 30x 4%.

And on qualifying products... not all products.

Ok, so I'm already getting 10x because of the Triangle MasterCard so I'm triple my "normal rate"?
    I guess that makes sense.
    Thanks!

I think with the Triangle MC it ends up being 40x so closer to 16%. That's on the pretax amount I'm told though.

Either way if you want to buy a rifle those are the days to do it. Macleod location, price match if the guns cheaper somewhere else (usually isn't), get like $200 in emoney back. I think I paid for most of my tikka with emoney received from my silver pigeon purchase
    Or winter tires
    Or summer tires
    Or anything big
Or anything that doesn't normally go on sale
How more people don't have this card blows my mind

I haven't had issues with deliveries. In fact, found that they have been using the under-promise/over-deliver quotes.

It is a Levoit air purifier that was covered by Prime. I ordered it in the evening of the 20th and Amazon had it in the Balzac facility on the 23rd. From there it went on a holiday... Just checked again and apparently it is back in Calgary as of Saturday so I am hoping to see it this week.

I ended up picking up 2x 24" curved Samsung monitors on Memory Express' Cyber Monday Sale. It must have been a Samsung deal because everyone had the same price for them but ME said they would be delivered by December 4th which was about a week faster than anywhere else. Surprise surprise they don't show up the 4th and just as I am about to call them today my phone rings to tell me they are sending me open box monitors instead of new ones. I guess they have been tested by Samsung and they are offering the same warranty as a new monitor and Memory Express is offering the same return policy as a new monitor so. I also got an additional 5% off, which in hindsight maybe I should have pushed for more. Not a huge deal as I typically don't have a problem buying open box or refurb but the shipping was a piss off.

Either way, I guess I'll eventually get the monitors, its just annoying as fuck.

It's not cyber mondays anymore. We need another subforum for deals.

HSBC 0.99% 5 yr variable for high ratio. 1.34 for non high ratio variable. 1.64 5 yr fixed.
Be careful with variable rates right now..

Interest rates are at basically zero, they won't be going negative IMO..

BUT they will have to go up, this might be in 6 months or 3 years but it will go up.

Great time to lock in a Fixed Rate.

well, depends on the difference between fixed and variable. When I looked it was ~0.75%, so I can handle 3 raises before I'm even at a break-even situation, and if those happen in the second half of my term, I'm still ahead.
