The debate is if she is going to ask the LGG for another election after she loses the confidence vote. Which I hope she does and I hope the LGG agrees considering the needlepoint that this potential government is balanced on and the overall turnout of the election.
Her voters elected her to keep the NDP and Greens out of power, she is literally doing her job.

Should have resigned before the election, then liberals might have done somethingOriginally posted by Sugarphreak
Still....
Christy Clark > Glen Clark > Mike Harcourt
She isn't challenging anything btw. She is going to follow due process which is exactly what is expected from a premier. The NDP-Green coalition from hell is not the government yet, they are the government in waiting.
All she is doing by taking this route is making herself the leader of the opposition, the only other choice she has is to resign.
Interesting these politicians can't sense when they oustaid there welcome.

Has there been ANY news about a floor crossing to prop up a Liberal majority? It seems like a pretty obvious outcome
What kind of pork barrel would Liberal come up with to poach one?Originally posted by Buster

I can see a Green cross the floor because they are not happy with NDP but there is no way NDP will cross to Liberals.

There has to be one dipper somewhere concerned about losing jobs due to the green's demands who can justify crossing the floor?
if it comes with some fantastic promise from the liberals to fund a pet project for their district i don't see why it would be suicide. Especially if it was a close liberal riding.

Oh come on. Bc is a collection of pot smoking lefties, something like California. The green and NDP won't piss them hippies off.
Clark was stupid. She should have known she was too hard. All she had to do was tone it down a bit with the catering to. If business, and look a little less smug having to deal with pesky little people, like voters.

Looks like the NDP are taking it... Only problem is they figure that once one of them is speaker of the house there will be a permanent 43-43 split between the NDP/Green coalition and the Liberals. Maybe the NDP won't be able to run everything into the ground? Can't see this government lasting long...

The Speaker can vote to break a tie, but my understanding is that convention holds that they vote against legislation if it's at final reading when the tie occurs. Prior to final reading, they vote to continue debate. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Either the NDP gets a Liberal on board, or they'll probably be looking at a lot of legislation that won't pass.

I'm just happy that the BC'ers who hate oil pipelines and Alberta in general will get what they deserve. And you should know by now, there are a LOT of them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I thought Alberta had the best economy in Canada. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Oh, onky until heavily tax payer subsudized oil fell to $40 and tax payers have to pay for well clean up and now tailing ponds.
Sounds like a winning model bc should follow. Pass the buck to us, let the big internationals and foreign investors take us to the cleaners.
Oil and Gas made Canada what it is today. Take your ungrateful ass and throw it out of a building
It did no such thing. Are you saying Canada would not be just as great with properly managed resources? I think more highly of Canadians. We might surprise you. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Canadians made CAnada great. Foreign investors are killing us.
Everyone is pissed at Alberta's 33 billion debt. But hey, the 55billion hand out to oil and gas, well and tailing pond clean up is just good business.
