    Default UCP Special General Meeting

The UCP SGM is on April 9th, coming up pretty quick. Does Kenney survive? Or will he be booted, paving the way for Jean to possibly take over?

I dislike both personally, Kenney seems beholden to corporate interests, Jean seems a lot more liberal leaning than you'd think if you actually follow him on twitter (its as awful as it sounds following him).

What I personally want is whichever one has the polling to keep the UCP in a majority government. If both give the same odds, then probably stick with the devil I know (Kenney) vs Jean.

People are distracted by $2 gas. Kenney should survive this and next provincial election.

Kenney running a radio show this weekend, AB Government paying for ads on said radio show. God i love the UCP and their 'fiscal restraint'

Jean is playing for the "fiscal conservative, social liberal" members. He sure wasn't left leaning when he had all those extreme right wing religious whackjobs in his Wildrose party.

Beloved conservative premiers have gameshows, not radio shows.

With COVID restrictions opening up, fuel tax suspension, energy rebates, and running a surplus, I don’t think kenney has anything to worry about. He set himself up well

I don't remember a ton of wild roses crazies in the party while he was running it. All I remember was his splitting the right hard enough to let the ndp win

I recall WR had all the crazies but PC has sky palace and tell people to look in mirror. That's how we got NDP.

Jean has the charisma of a wet kitchen towel.

How people think Brian Jean isn’t socially conservative is baffling.

Brian Jean is the Christian social conservative that NDP supporters imagine Jason Kenney is.

I mean, maybe I want to be on the winning side, so I should front-run this thing and start loving them? I think.

Unless you are running for them I would question how you would be on their “side”

He might be tired of the private sector ups and downs, and wants to fit in with cranky overpaid public employees.

Being a public employee is basically trolling yourself.

Just one of the many things that have happened over the past while. Still pretty torn over Kenney vs Jean, tough to decide if Kenney is damaged goods. Polls do not look good, but polls done through the internet do not get old rural folks weighing in either.
