AMA Battery or something else?

The battery in my car is just shy of 3 years old (right inside the warranty from AMA). I hadn't started the car back in December for almost 2 weeks, when i went to start , the car was dead.

Called AMA they boosted the car, they tested the battery, said its fine. I then bought a battery tenor, seemed to be working. One day i was in the garage and the Noco battery tenor had an error on it , soemthing about a short/battery can't hold charge.

Called AMA again, they said the battery is fine and they boosted it and it worked. Fast forward to know, haven't started the car in 4 days and its dead.

Would you try to get a replacement battery under warranty or could it be something else? Anyone have an AMA battery?

Costco battery is best battery

Battery brand is quite unimportant. Buy from somewhere that has a decent warranty and replacement policy. Napa and Costco are good. I have never looked into AMA for that.

I used the battery tenor to charge it over night and it appears that it was successful but concerning that goes dead so fast. I might just look into getting a battery from Costco

Doesn't matter where you buy a battery. Just get whatever you can where ever.

I prefer Interstate batteries.. but people will always yell Costco when this conversation comes up.

This is from when Costco's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee applied to batteries as well. Meaning at any time you could return the battery for 100% of your money back. This has since changed as they now warranty batteries as normal albeit still better than most.

What changed to the Costco warranty for car batteries? On the website, it still says 48 months. Or you meant it used to be forever? 4 years is still crazy good, if I believe that is what you are referring to?

Most Batteries really don’t cost enough for this to be a worthwhile topic to overthink.

Getting AMA to come replace the battery under warranty, if this one goes then i know its something else. Better than going to buy a new battery out of pocket and then realizing its something else. Benefits of a plus membership!

Not a popular opinion here but I usually do the Canadian Tire batteries. They're usually in stock and I've never had to replace any under warranty. The one I put in the winter beater this past August started fine all winter without even being plugged in, and as you know this winter was -35 brutal.

But as stated above, I do it because CT is close and convenient, but batteries aren't expensive enough to justify overthinking.

The warranty was technically the same as it was before but the Costco Return policy stating that "We guarantee your satisfaction with every product we sell and will refund your purchase price" didn't exclude batteries. Meaning you wouldn't warranty it, you would simply bring it in and state you aren't satisfied with the product and they would refund you completely. Regardless of the age of the battery. This became very popular among RV'ers as the 6v batteries are solid performers already. Now, it excludes items with a finite life such as batteries.

LOL when you drive a diesel truck and you put $500 of batteries in.. it is not cheap
