Default 2020 Nashville Bombing Christmas Day

Explosion in Nashville that damaged dozens of buildings is believed to be an intentional act

According to police, officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department were responding to a call of shots fired around 5:30 a.m. CT Friday when they came upon an RV parked in front of an AT&T transmission building at 166 2nd Avenue North.

The RV was playing a recorded message that indicated a bomb would explode in 15 minutes, Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake said during a news conference Friday.

Officers saw no immediate evidence of shots fired but they requested the department's hazardous devices unit and started to evacuate neighborhood residents, police said.
The bomb squad was responding when the RV exploded at 6:30 a.m. CT, police spokesman Don Aaron said.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

So, someone takes the time to rig an RV to explode, yet warns everyone beforehand to ensure nobody gets hurt.

Sorry ISIS... you're doing it wrong.

This a classic attack on first responders. Call in bomb, responders arrive, detonate bomb. It’s actually doing it “right” so to speak.

Is “intentional act” the new politically correct term for terrorist attack?

Normally, I would agree. But this was clearly not intended to hurt first responders anyone else, as they purposely fitted it with recorded loudspeaker messages to warn anyone in the area.

To me, it seems like a "classic" show of force and destructive power by someone who didn't really want to go as far as to kill anybody. As said, a terrorist with a conscience.

Sounds like they may have found human remains in the explosion

Until they find out what colour and/or religion the person was anyways.

I have to wonder if this was just a really spectacular suicide - It doesn't seem there was a terrorist motivation behind it.

You're all thinking too small. This was like the Italian Job. Bomb next to a transmission plant, took out the alarm at a connected building, boom place robbed while everyone is distracted.

I agree. Seems like overkill for a suicide but it really does seem like someone just wanted to go out in a blaze of glory.

Authorities have identified Anthony Quinn Warner as the Nashville bomber after matching his DNA to remains found at the scene of the explosion.

"We've come to the conclusion that an individual named Anthony Warner is the bomber. He was present when the bomb went off and then he perished," said Don Cochran, US attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, during a Sunday evening news conference.
DNA taken from the scene was matched to Warner by forensic analysts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director David Rausch said at the news conference.

That would be fucking hilarious if that was the actual motive.

The mind of someone who buys into that bullshit is already unstable. It wouldn't really be a surprise.
